Incorporation of North Atlantic Alliance standards into domestic legislation, that governs relations in the security and defense sector is one of the key requirements for Ukraine to obtain a NATO Membership Action Plan and further deepen Euro-Atlantic integration with a view to acquiring Alliance membership. An Important condition for these tasks is the implementation of NATO standards and procedures in the legislation governing military education. In the process of standardizing and achieving the state of compatibility of the security and defense sector of Ukraine with the relevant NATO forces, the specificity of the application of standards in improving the system of training specialists for the Security Service of Ukraine should be highlighted separately. According to this development course, military education today includes formal and informal (general training) components, and the improvement of professional competence (special training). Professional training of military specialist according to NATO standards is carried out at the appropriate levels of management: operational, tactical, strategic. It remains compulsory for officers to have received a higher education in the relevant educational programs. Taking into account the specific nature of the professional activities of the members of the special service, the tasks assigned to them and the functions performed for that purpose, namely, countering intelligence and subversive activities, combating terrorism, counter-intelligence and defending national statehood, Ensuring the security of the State in cyberspace, etc., the training system for the Security Service may be differentiated according to its functional direction and institutionalized in the military education system or outside it. At the same time, an important basis for the development of the educational component in the Security Service of Ukraine will remain the recruitment of teaching staff from among persons with practical experience. Важным вопросом для выполнения указанных задач является имплементация стандартов и процедур НАТО в сферу военного образования. В процессе стандартизации и достижения состояния совместимости сектора безопасности и обороны Украины с соответствующими силами НАТО отдельно следует выделить специфику применения стандартов при совершенствовании системы подготовки специалистов для Службы безопасности Украины. Согласно указанного курса сегодня развитие военного образования включает формальную и неформальную (общая профессиональная подготовка) составляющие, а также совершенствование профессиональной компетентности (специальная профессиональная подготовка). Профессиональная подготовка военных специалистов по стандартам НАТО осуществляется по соответствующим уровням управления: оперативный, тактический, стратегический. Учитывая специфику профессиональной деятельности, возложенных задач и выполняемых для этого функций, система подготовки кадров для Службы безопасности Украины может быть институциализирована в системе военного образования или за ее пределами. Несмотря на выбранную модель, подготовка специалистов для сил безопасности должна базироваться на стандартах НАТО. ; Упровадження стандартів Північноатлантичного альянсу у вітчизняне законодавство, яке регулює відносини в секторі безпеки і оборони, є однією із ключових вимог для отримання Україною Плану дій щодо членства в НАТО та подальшого поглиблення євроатлантичної інтеграції з метою набуття членства в Альянсі. Важливим питанням для виконання вказаних завдань постає імплементація стандартів і процедур НАТО у сферу військової освіти. У процесі стандартизації і досягнення стану взаємосумісності сектору безпеки і оборони України з відповідними силами НАТО окремо слід виділити специфіку застосування стандартів при вдосконаленні системи підготовки фахівців для Служби безпеки України. Відповідно до вказаного курсу розвитку сьогодні військова освіта включає формальну та неформальну (загальна професійна підготовка) складові, а також удосконалення фахової компетентності (спеціальна професійна підготовка). Професійна підготовка військових фахівців за стандартами НАТО здійснюється за відповідними рівнями управління: оперативний, тактичний, стратегічний. Враховуючи специфіку професійної діяльності, покладених завдань та виконуваних для цього функцій, система підготовки кадрів для Служби безпеки України може бути інституціалізована в системі військової освіти чи поза її межами. Незалежно від обраної моделі, підготовка фахівців для сил безпеки має базуватись на стандартах НАТО.
