Der vorliegende Beitrag gibt einen Überblick über den Forschungsstand zur Bedeutung geschlechtsspezifischer Faktoren in der politischen Sozialisation bzw. zum weiteren Thema "Frau und Politik". Der Schwerpunkt liegt dabei auf der Literatur zur politischen Sozialisation und nicht der zur Geschlechtsrolle. Die leitende Fragestellung der Autorin ist dabei, welche Implikationen die Diskussionen über das Geschlechterverhältnis bzw. die Geschlechterdifferenz für die Theoriebildung zur Genese politischen Verhaltens bzw. für die Entstehung politischer Einstellungen bei Kindern und Jugendlichen gehabt haben.
