Climate change and poverty are global issues which cannot be waved aside in welfare of the ever increasing population. The causes / consequences are far more elaborate in developing countries, including Nigeria, which poses threats to the existence of man and his environment. The dominant role of agriculture makes it obvious that even minor climate deteriorations can cause devastating socio-economic consequences. Policies to curb the climate change by reducing the consumption of fossil fuels like oil, gas or carbon compounds have significant economical impacts on the producers/suppliers of these fuels. Thus a unified political narrative that advances both agendas is needed, because their components of an environmental coin that needs to be addressed. The developed world should maintain a low-carbon growth & real commitment of 0.7% of gross national income, as aid to developing countries & renewable energy approach should be emphasized, hence global poverty combated.

This study investigated the performances of students in English language in Public and Private schools. The stand of one as regards the output was compared with the stand of the other. The areas of concern included the level of performance, teachers' qualifications and teachers' experience on the job. The population of the study consists of 15700 students. Ten senior secondary schools were randomly selected from the available sixty four secondary schools in the Local Government Area. Staff statistics and record of WAEC results of the students were collected from the schools. It was discovered from the available statistics that Public schools had more qualified teachers with more years of experience than their Private schools counterparts. It was against the run of play that the students in Private schools performed better than the students in Public schools. The physical outlook of the Public schools visited suggested that maintenance culture was lacking as revealed in the unkempt school plants which might be as a result of lack of supervision. Consistent and meaningful supervision is therefore recommended among others in order to promote good performance in the Public school system especially in the teaching and learning of English language as a language of utility in Nigeria peculiar linguistic situation.

In time past, one of the problems of the Church was the belief that the world is so corrupt and firmly in the hands of the evil ones that there is virtually no point of contact between Christians and the world. The Church was seen as having no business in interfering in worldly matters. The world is doomed and must be left as it is for its merited destruction. However, a reflection on the teaching of Christ in Matthew 5: 13-16 has opened the eyes of the Church that the purpose of her calling is not to isolate herself from the world but to transform it. The understanding of this teaching has been the driven force for the Church in transforming the world. Theological Education is one of the most vibrant and dynamic tools the church has been using in transforming the world. By taking into account the political, economic, Education, social and religious challenges across the globe in her curriculum, theological institutions have brought the coveted change into the world. Its impact is now highly felt in all the facet of life. This includes taking the right steps in solving gender and racial discriminations, playing an active role in the fight against HIV and AIDS, giving the adequate information needed to fight against global warming and depletion of natural resources, developing a theology of liberation for the oppressed and the poor. The quest for transforming the world in the light of Jesus teaching in Matthew 5: 13-16 has made theological institutions to take into account political, economic, social and religious problems that are troubling the peace of the world in their theological programmes. The improvement made has made theological education to bring the needed salt and light for transforming the disturbed and destabilised peace of the world.

This study explained that the post-Covid world of work would demand a new set of employability skills. Higher education institutions need to respond by preparing graduates with manifest post-COVID-19 employability skills through innovatively delivered curricula. Through literature review, the study identified post-Covid-19 in-demands employability skills and ways of innovatively fostering them. The study adopted the descriptive survey method and canvassed (104) faculty members' (from 9 public universities) opinions through an online poll on the skills they considered relevant for post-pandemic graduate employability and integrating them into universities curricula. Data collected were descriptively analyzed using frequency count and percentage. Findings showed that when universities commit to innovative curriculum delivery, students can easily acquire skills and competencies required to effective security and create jobs in the post-Covid job market effectively recommended that universities should innovate their curricula by integrating post-Covid in-demands skills needed for students' post-Covid job market.

Lassa fever is an acute viral illness, which is endemic in some counties in West Africa, including Guinea, Liberia, Sierra Leone and parts of Nigeria. It is caused by the Lassa virus, which is primarily hosted by multi-mammate rats that live in and around houses. This study sees the need to enhance public awareness by producing risk maps of Lassa fever for the study area. In a bid to understand and predict the prevalence of the disease in Akure South Local Government Area. Temporal and spatial analyses of Lassa fever cases were carried out, information about related environmental variables such as temperature, rainfall, vegetation, and elevation were obtained. These data sets from primary and secondary sources were integrated independently as predictor variables for the developed risk model. The accessibility of incidences of Lassa fever to health centres was determined and analysed. The risk map produced indicates that areas about the Ijoka community are at higher risk of being affected by a future Lassa fever outbreak than other areas. The model developed an understanding of the high risk and potential outbreak of Lassa fever to alert the general public of the virus to curb the future outbreak. However, future research can be on the control and prevention of Lassa fever in the study area.
