Abstract

The article aims to identify and analyze the underlying dynamics of military-technical cooperation between the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China – an important topic due to both states' roles as great powers and potential challengers to the Western-led liberal international order. The author identifies the main political, military and economic drivers of Sino-Russian military-technical cooperation. By introducing the context of contemporary global trends that shape the defense-industrial landscape, the text addresses the question of the continued relevance of this particular relationship.
