La GIZC en France : mirage ou mutation stratégique fondamentale ?

Its implementation in France (a country known for of its coastal zone policy which was established during the 1970's) represents a good opportunity to analyse the possible gaps between theory and practice. The call for ICZM projects launched by national institutions offers material for primary analysis. We have therefore examined its 49 applications and put them in perspective with the complex heritage and dynamics of coastal territories. Lastly, the analysis is focused on one of the ICZM's major and recurrent problems: the integration of the marine aspects of coastal zones. ; L'actualité de la GIZC impose de s'interroger sur la réalité de ce processus. Sa mise en œuvre en France, pays connu pour avoir engagé une politique du littoral dès les années 1970, offre la possibilité d'examiner les éventuels décalages entre le concept et la pratique. L'appel à projets GIZC lancé par des institutions nationales offre la matière d'une première analyse. Les 49 candidatures soumises sont ainsi décryptées puis mises en perspective avec la complexité héritée et actuelle des territoires littoraux. Enfin, l'analyse se concentre sur l'une des difficultés majeures et récurrentes de la GIZC que constitue l'intégration du volet marin des zones côtières.
