Abstract

On 17 May 1987, Philippine Ambassador Emmanuel N. Pelaez met with Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) Secretary General Syed Shariffaddin Pirzada in Singapore to exchange views on the progress of discussions with the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) on the proposed autonomous regions in southern Philippines as envisioned in the Tripoli Agreement of 23 December 1976 and the Jeddah Accord of 3 January 1987. This government paper sums up the main results and introduces some important background information. (DÜI-Sbt)
