Abstract

An account of development projects in Sudan financed by the state of Lower Saxony with some emphasis on the successful training programme of the Sea Ports Corporation (SPC), which has already boosted the reputation of Port Sudan. The account covers the various phases of the port's modernisation and extension of capacities, which is targetted at 11 million tonnes annually by the end of 1987. (DÜI-Asd)
