Die Transformation der österreichischen Streitkräfte im multinationalen Umfeld von EU und NATO
In: Europäische Sicherheit: Politik, Streitkräfte, Wirtschaft, Technik, Band 57, Heft 8, S. 27-30
Abstract
The Austrian Armed Forces are changing their course from an Army primarily orientated to territorial defense to an instrument of security that is embedded in an international framework and which is flexibly employable both at home and abroad. Higher mobility, quick operational sequences, and interoperability are just some examples for the assiduous efforts being made to take account of a rapidly changing security environment which is becoming more and more diffuse and indistinct. The sustainable participation in missions and operations of international organizations and the commitment in helping shape the European Security and Defence Policy are to ensure the perception of the Austrian Federal Army as a reliable and efficient partner of the own population and the international community.
