Abstract

During the worldwide protests to stop the war against Iraq, surveys of activists were conducted in seven countries. Here, results are presented from a questionnaire-based study among protesters participating in the largest German peace rally in Berlin. Findings reveal that the majority of the protesters are highly educated & young, politically active, & oriented toward the Left. They trust social movements & organizations critical of globalization much more than established political actors. Adapted from the source document.
