Palestinian Israelis?

Abstract
Palestinian Arabs & their descendants who remained in Israel following establishment of the Jewish state in 1948 are citizens who, in principle, have the same political & civil rights as Jews, with the major exception of compulsory army service. In reality, however, there is a deep inequality between Arabs & Jews, at both an individual & group level. Jewish state governments have always favored Jews over Arabs, no matter which party was in power; thus, while much has changed over the past five decades for Arabs, much more has changes for Jews. As a result, Arabs remain far behind Jews in income, occupation, education, & level of social services. The consequences of recent developments are considered. M. Maguire
