ON COLLECTIVE VIOLENCE: INTRODUCTION AND OVERVIEW
In: The annals of the American Academy of Political and Social Science, Band 391, S. 1-8
Abstract
Despite the ubiquity of violence in world history, & the efforts of scholars & nat'l commissions to diagnose its causes & prescribe solutions, violence remains a major soc problem in many parts of the world. Indeed, it is such in part because of these efforts, & because understanding & solution are problematic. Papers in this issue are reviewed & the respective roles of relations between nat'l commissions & the scholarly community discussed.
