TEXAS' THIRD MAN: THE TEXAS-MEXICAN

Abstract

A discussion of anti-Mexican discrimination & prejudice in Texas, based on cultural factors, but expressed as a racial question. The attitude of the Texan to the Texas-Mexican is also influenced by the relations between Mexico & the US. Furthermore, Mexico takes little interest in the econ & educ'al problems of the Texas-Mexicans. The att's & action taken by TexasMexicans re their minority position are discussed. The difficulties in solving the problems, & possible remedies, are presented. D. Cooperman.
