Nation, community, devolution and sovereignty

Abstract

Argues that nationalism, community and sovereignty are psychological in nature. That nationalism corresponds to deep-seated needs explains why specific nationalisms are so enduring. Presents a fresh analysis of devolution and looks at how the new factor of globalisation has affected the concept of 'nation-state'. (SJK)
