Die vorliegende Arbeit untersucht die Politik der Zentralbankunabhängigkeit (ZBU) am Beispiel der Türkei. Im Mittelpunkt der Arbeit stehen theoretische und empirische Fragen und Probleme, die sich im Zusammenhang mit der ZBU stellen und anhand der türkischen Geldpolitik diskutiert werden. Ein zentrales Ziel der Arbeit besteht darin, zu untersuchen, ob und inwiefern die türkische Zentralbank nach Erlangung der de jure institutionellen Unabhängigkeit tatsächlich als unabhängig und entpolitisiert eingestuft werden kann. Um diese Forschungsfrage zu beantworten, werden die institutionellen Bedingungen, die Ziele und die Regeln, nach denen sich die türkische Geldpolitik richtet, geklärt. Anschließend wird empirisch überprüft, ob die geldpolitische Praxis der CBRT sich an dem offiziell vorgegebenen Regelwerk orientiert. Die Hauptthese dieser Arbeit lautet, dass die formelle Unabhängigkeit der CBRT und die regelorientierte Geldpolitik nicht mit einer Entpolitisierung der Geldpolitik in der Türkei gleichzusetzen ist. Als Alternative schlägt die vorliegende Studie vor, den institutionellen Status der CBRT als einen der relativen Autonomie zu untersuchen. Auch eine de jure unabhängige Zentralbank kann sich nicht von politischen Eingriffen abkoppeln, wie das Fallbeispiel Türkei zeigen wird. ; This book examines the relationship between central bank independence and monetary policy in Turkey with a political economic approach. Focusing on the Turkish example, it addresses the theoretical and empirical questions that arise in connection with central bank independence. It analyses the Turkish central bank's institutional statue and its implications for monetary policy since its formal independence in 2001. The main outcome is that Turkey's central bank cannot be regarded as an independent and depoliticized monetary institution, not least due to the high political pressure the ruling Justice and Development Party was able to put on monetary policy decision, especially after the global financial crises 2007-08. The book investigates further domestic and international political economic conditions and developments in regards to the exertion of influence on the Turkish monetary policy. The case of Turkey shows that even a formally independent central bank is unable to detach itself from political interference, in spite of a strong ideology of de-politicized monetary policy. To conceptually grasp this outcome the present title proposes an understanding of the CBRT's institutional status as one of 'relative autonomy'.

Der Terminus der "Geringqualifizierten" ist eine ebenso verbreitete wie eingeschränkte Beschreibung einer heterogenen Zielgruppe, welche vor dem Hintergrund steigender arbeitsmarktbezogener Kompetenzanforderungen sowie des Zusammenhangs zwischen formalem Bildungsstatus und Risiken der Erwerbslosigkeit im Zentrum arbeitsmarktpolitischer Diskussionen steht. Geringqualifizierung drückt sich nicht nur im Fehlen formaler, berufsqualifizierender Abschlüsse aus, sondern besitzt angesichts sich dynamisch verändernder Arbeitsfelder und Anforderungen an die Qualifikation der Mitarbeitenden auch eine relative Dimension. So können vorhandene Kompetenzen aufgrund fehlender Aktualisierung veralten und damit als "zu gering" eingestuft werden. Vor diesem Hintergrund nähert sich der Bericht der Personengruppe der Geringqualifizierten an, indem er bestehende Definitionen kritisch betrachtet, Verbindungen zu anderen Begriffen aufzeigt und aus den Erkenntnissen eine eigene relative Beschreibung ableitet. Ergänzt wird dieser Report durch die Betrachtung von Weiterbildungsangeboten für diese Zielgruppe. ; The term "low-skilled" is an equally widespread and limited description of a heterogeneous target group that is at the centre of labour market policy discussions of increasing labour market-related competence requirements and the connection between formal educational status and risks of unemployment. Low qualification is not only expressed in the lack of formal, vocational qualifications, but also has a relative dimension in view of dynamically changing fields of work and demands on employees' qualifications. Existing skills can become outdated due to a lack of updating and thus be classified as "too low". Against this background, the report approaches the group of people with low qualifications by critically examining existing definitions, showing connections to other terms and deriving its own relative description of "low skilled" persons. This report is supplemented by a consideration of further education offers for this target group.

Abstract
This paper examines whether local relative factor supplies affect local relative factor prices across US states. Using data on relative wages and relative labor supplies across the US, I find that state specific relative labor supplies significantly impact state specific relative wages across the US. Moreover, in an effort to reconcile my finding with that of Hanson and Slaughter (2000), I rerun their model and I prove that their interpretation is incorrect, and that in fact, differences in relative labor supplies across states determine relative wages and industry production techniques.
These findings suggest that relative FPE does not hold across US states. In addition, the findings imply that immigration shocks to US states have a significant effect on relative wages, holding all else equal, as long as the immigrant inflows significantly impact states' relative labor supplies.

Previous research has shown that parties tend to adopt positions that are more extreme than those of their supporters, but there are at least two arguments that also imply the presence of relative moderation -- a tendency for moderate parties to be more moderate than their supporters. Using surveys covering 34 countries compiled by the Comparative Study of Electoral Systems, this investigation shows that parties in coalitional systems display both phenomena. This afterword offers a commentary on the concept of relations
discussed in the introduction and the individual contributions to this special issue by critically reflecting on the key concepts that have emerged in it. It contributes to the discussion with a reflection on the use of the term parente in Amazonia, showing how its exclusive use in inter-ethnic contexts indicates a play of perspective in the way that relations between different groups of people are experienced.

No one knows the exact amount of remittances Africans send home, since not all of this goes through official channels. World Bank figures show that remittances to different regions in Africa hover between 1 per cent and 5 per cent of gross domestic product (GDP), with West Africa receiving around 4 per cent of its GDP in remittances.
