The discussion over the idea of multicultural education has never been finished. Multicultural education is an educational philosophy and practical educational strategy that has been well developed in the United States. It has been being developed in some countries, and so is Indonesia. The American schools have been developed and implemented the idea of multicultural education and the American government has supported them by giving multicultural values on education policies. In some Indonesian schools, it has also been tried to apply multicultural education, but there are some problems in developing and implementing it, because of the lack of experience in it and the supports from the government.
Abstract The article sketches the overall layout of the thematic issue of the 'Journal of Religion and Transformation in Contemporary Societies (JRAT)' on Interreligious Dialogue (IRD) in context. It argues that an analysis of interreligious dialogue activities in their socio-cultural contexts helps to counterbalance the long-standing individualistic bias of IRD-research. First, it presents a systematic description of the present state of the art that distinguishes two strands of IRD-research. Second, it argues for a European comparison, based upon most recent findings from the 'SMRE – Swiss Metadatabase of Religious Affiliation in Europe'. The article is based on the research "Intercultural and interreligious dialogue to promote the culture of peace in unaccompanied foreign youth and minors (MENA) in Barcelona and Melilla" (RTI2018-095259-B-I00 / MCIU / AEI / FEDER, EU) and closes with references to the structure of the present volume of JRaT to facilitate such a comparison.

Subject. A classifier of violations is a tool used to standardise and improve audit activities and, thus, increase their efficiency. It allows structuring possible violations, connecting them with risks related to the activities of state-funded institutions, and providing a uniform approach to the systematisation of violations. Since internal audits in state-funded institutions are characterised by a lack of regulations and an absence of standard methods, there is a need to study issues related to their practical implementation. This proves the importance of the problem studied in the article. Objectives. Developing a structure for the classifier of violations detected during internal audits at state-funded higher education institutions. Methodology. The following methods were used to achieve the goals: analysis, grouping, comparison, and generalisation. Results. The article proposes a structure for the classifier of violations detected during internal audits at state-funded higher education institutions. It establishes how the developed structure for the classifier of violations can be adapted to the activities of state (municipal) institutions of various types and spheres of activity. It determines the main characteristics which help record violations and signs indicating a high probability of their detection. Results and discussion. A critical analysis of the results of the study was used to identify its main advantages and disadvantages. The ways of minimising the impact of the identified disadvantages were proposed. Conclusions. The results of the study can be used by both scholars and practising specialists to develop and update classifiers for violations at state (municipal) institutions.

Whether or not relative rates of assortative marriage have been rising in the affluent democracies has been subject to considerable dispute. First, we show how the conflicting empirical findings that have fueled the debate are frequently an artifact of alternative methodological strategies for answering the question. Then, drawing on comparable census data for Canada and the United States, we examine trends in educational homogamy and intermarriage with log-linear models for all marriages among young adults under 35 over three decades. Our results show that educational homogamy, the tendency of like to marry like, has unambiguously risen in both countries since the 1970s. Rising levels of marital homogamy were the result of declining intermarriage at both ends of the educational distribution.
