This paper argues against Jurgen Habermas's criticism of Theodor Adorno's ideology critique. It claims that although Adorno's theories are not without their flaws, Adorno did recognize the role of culture as it is applied to exchange principle. Adorno's theories are compared with the rational potential of communicative action theory supported by Habermas. Outlined are Habermas's opinions concerning ideology, particularly his claim that ideology is dead. It is argued that ideology is still thriving, & Habermas's own recent work is, itself, inherently ideological in nature. 22 References. K. A. Larsen
