Purpose: Even without economic factors and government regulations, the pressure and motivation of corporation to reduce emission are still increasing. This is because the key factors for corporation to reduce emissions have become corporate social responsibility and identification of low-carbon value by consumer and society from economic trade-off and government regulations. So, the purpose of this paper is to provide quantity methods for the logistics organizations with wish of voluntary reduction and social responsibility. Design/methodology/approach: Being difference from the traditional research that takes economic value as object, this paper takes carbon footprint as object directly, order quantity as decision variable. By referring to the traditional economic order quantity model, the paper creates logistics carbon footprint model which takes transport and inventory into account. Then it solves the model by calculating the values of order quantity, carbon footprint and revenue using the method of optimization. Findings and Originality/value: By solving and comparing the two models of economic order quantity model and carbon footprint model, it gets some results, such as carbon optimization order quantity, the effects order quantity deviating from economic order quantity or carbon order quantity having on economic or carbon footprint values, which can give some meaningful insight for corporation to search out reduction opportunities by operations adjustment. Originality/value: The study takes carbon footprint as object directly and creates the corresponding quantity model. By comparing with the traditional economic order quantity model, the paper provides quantity methods and obtains some meaningful insights for the logistics organizations with wish of voluntary reduction and social responsibility to reduce emissions by operations adjustment. ; Peer Reviewed

; This article analyses two models of political identification: the model proposed by communitarianist political philosopher C. Taylor, and that suggested by post-Marxist theorists E. Laclau and C. Mouffe. First, the paper outlines the methodological basis for this research: criticism of the taken-for-granted knowledge; historical and cultural determination of any kind of knowledge; interconnection between knowledge, social processes and social action. Further, the author analyses C. Taylor's model of political identification and singles out both its positive and negative aspects. The positive aspect is the initial problematization of the affective side of civic commitment to democratic institutions. This originates the idea of patriotism cultivation proposed by C. Taylor to resolve the problem of democracy erosion. The negative aspect of this model is the internal contradiction between the strong idea of civic participation and individual freedom. Next, the author analyses E. Laclau and C. Mouffe's model of political identification. The development of this model stems from understanding the weakness of the current democratic politics, which excludes a number of discriminated against and exploited social groups. According to the model of radical democratic identification, the problem of democracy erosion can be eliminated by regularly challenging current hierarchies and including new social groups into the democratic movement. In addition, the two models of political identification were assessed in terms of their potential for solving the problem of democracy erosion. The author finds the model of radical democratic identification proposed by E. Laclau and C. Mouffe to be optimal.

Decades into its existence as a foundational aspect of modern political and economic life, the welfare state has become a political cudgel, used to assign blame for ballooning national debt and tout the need for personal responsibility. At the same time, it affects nearly every citizen and permeates daily life—in the form of pension, disability, and unemployment benefits, healthcare and parental leave policies, and more. At the core of that disjunction is the question of how we as a society decide who should get what benefits—and how much we are willing to pay to do so. Probable Justice traces a history of social insurance from the eighteenth century to today, from the earliest ideas of social accountability through the advanced welfare state of collective responsibility and risk. At the heart of Rachel Z. Friedman's investigation is a study of how probability theory allows social insurance systems to flexibly measure risk and distribute coverage. The political genius of social insurance, Friedman shows, is that it allows for various accommodations of needs, risks, financing, and political aims—and thereby promotes security and fairness for citizens of liberal democracies

PurposeThe objectives of this study are twofold: (1) to investigate whether the increase in FLFP enriches women's inclusive rights (economic, social, and political), (2) whether the effect of FLFP on inclusive rights is different across different economics (developed vs developing).Design/methodology/approachThe study utilizes panel data encompassing 188 countries spanning the years 1981–2011. Discrete choice models, namely ordered probit and ordered logit, are employed, while also controlling for observable heterogeneity across countries, including factors such as inflation, income inequality, education, and human rights.FindingsWe find a positive association between FLFP and all aspects of women's rights (economic, social, and political). The results related to developed and underdeveloped countries are robust for women's political rights; however, the effect of FLFP on women's social and economic rights is insignificant for developing countries.Originality/valueThe need for continuous policy commitment to gender equality may be needed to bring about equality of inclusive rights (economic, social, and political rights) and to fulfill the sustainable development goals (SDGs). Therefore, the current study particularly adds value in existing research by investigating (empirically) the link between FLFP and different dimensions of women's inclusive rights.
The issue of equitable approach to issues related to discrimination against certain social categories in our country remains one of the most discussed in various public events, such as public debates, seminars, trainings, etc. In this context, the press remains one of the key - tools for guiding society, on the correctness in which the issues of discrimination are reflected on the basis of various criteria. The article below seeks to elucidate the way in which one of the most discriminated social groups in this country, such as that of sexual minorities, is approached in journalistic materials. Recently, more and more articles have appeared in the local media, reflecting the situation and problems of this social group, but the way in which journalists manage to present the subject, cannot always be considered in accordance with the deontological aspects of the profession. Thus, we aim to elucidate in the material below, the ways in which the subject of sexual minorities is reflected and the problems they face, the mistakes that journalists make in the process of covering the topic, as well as to offer some recommendations to avoid mistakes, through which the press could also be considered an instrument of manipulation and discrimination in relation to this social category.
The researchers intend to analyze John Fowles' The French Lieutenant's Woman to depict how the female protagonists reject the notion of being eunuchs and experience liberation and revolution within the social context. To carry out this study, the researchers analyze the female characters. This masterpiece revolves around the notions of love and sexuality. The French Lieutenant's Woman has been analyzed from different aspects of feminism. However, in this research, the purpose is to depict how Victorian women are able to break the phallocentric discourse by negating sexual differences and becoming eunuch subjects. The beginning of the novel shows Charles' engagement with Ernestina mostly based on the social doctrines of the Victorian era. In fact, there is no love between them and what binds them together is social expectation. Ernestina is the symbol of a woman who desires to be a female eunuch and obey the principles of the nuclear family. On the other hand, Sarah is a rebellious character who selects love over the social doctrines of Victorian society. The present research is conducted based on Luce Irigaray and Germaine Greer's theories in which the role of Victorian women is analyzed.
In this article, I demonstrate that temporal domination over subjects and producers in capitalist society is Marx's central category in the critique of political economy. Hartmut Rosa who is well known in the critical tradition for his works on social acceleration refers to Marx's value theory to explain the economic motor of social acceleration in the sphere of production and distribution, but he does not reach the very depth of Marx's critique of abstract time domination and considered it as a subordinate and marginal aspect of Marx's theory. I argue that Marx's critique of class exploitation and commodification of social relations, in the final analysis, consists in the critique of domination of time over man. In particular, I articulate their relationship by representing the Hegelian onto-logical couple of essence and appearance; it is demonstrated that class exploitation as an internal and substantial structure of capitalism posits the temporal domination as an form of appearance which presupposes the first. Moreover, this article shows that class domination has taken a more inverted and mysterious form in digital capitalism through new time appropriation strategies. This implies that in contrast to Rosa who considers social acceleration above and beyond class boundaries, it still reinforces class exploitation and acts through it.
The relevance of the study of the socio-psychological phenomenon of personal security in the era of post-modernism is due to the real problems of today's society, which at the present stage of state development are characterized by acute interrelationships between the requirements of social security as a factor of socio-political and national security and the real state of mental existence. associated with indicators of social well-being of the individual. The aim of the article is to prove that the concept of anxiety is a characteristic of social society in the era of postmodernism, preceding the need for security; to give a generalized concept of security in the era of postmodernism as a set of attributes; to identify indicators of psychological security as a complex polyfunctional phenomenon in the era of postmodernism. The article indicates that the choice of specific aspects of human security and the perspective of their consideration depend on the system in which man is included, such as the system "man - nature", "man - production", "man - technology", as well as social systems "man - man "," man - society "," man - state ". Three factors that determine human safety are specified: the human factor, the environmental factor and the security factor; and physical and psychological means of protection against dangerous situations.
