The intercultural education is presented as an initiative of our society to incorporate ethnic groups in the vision of the world, which is constructed through education. Unfortunately, the main contribution that the ancestral cultures make to the curriculum is based on some idiomatic aspects and cultural manifestations (rites and ceremonies). According to our point of view, this vision is rather restricted, because it ignores or does not know the ways of traditional education of ethnic groups. This assay shows, in a summarized way, the experience of the Mapuche people in their way of developing the teaching–learning process, which is explicitly based on the communication form that was established among the family members. It is necessary to emphasize that three methods were used, and they were based on oral communication (pentukum, nütram and gülam), these not only allowed the internalization of the contents, but also their evaluation. Another important element is constituted by three central subject areas of the Mapuche education: social, nature and divinity relationship and how each one of them become, in practice, communication forms with superior entities. In this way, it is constituted the general training system and education in Mapuche culture, which is able to evaluate coherent subjects and content connection, to constitute a real contribution to formal education of any country or culture, which must be understood as the modification of primary education's curriculum.

The article represents results of empirical research of the interrelation between Russian immigrants' personal self-actualization and subjective well-being. Detailed results based on a sample of Russians who migrated, and Russians who live in Russia are provided. Common and particular interrelations between personal self-actualization and subjective well-being are highlighted. Also the features typical for persons living in Russia, Germany, USA and Spain are considered.

AbstractIn 2018, in his lawsuit against Governor Andrew Como, Naftuli Moster alerted the world to the inequality between public and private education in New York State. This Note proposes amending the Felder Amendment to ensure that private school students in New York State are given a "substantially equivalent" education to those students in public schools. By making the Felder Amendment more specific in the guidelines it uses to assess the quality of the private schools, New York State can ensure that all children are being given an equitable education.

Based on interviews with key actors in the policy-making process, this book maps the changes in education policy and policy making in the Thatcherite decade. The focus of the book is the 1988 Education Reform Act, its origins, purposes and effects, and it looks behind the scenes at the priorities of the politicians, civil servants and government advisers who were influential in making changes.

Arts education plays a significant role in the development of society as well as nation. Arts education is classified into two main categories: visual arts and performing arts. Visual arts include drawing, paintings, sculpture etc. Performing arts includes music, theatre etc. Women are the back bone for the development of arts education as well as national development. Women are contributed more in arts education. Arts education is not as famous in India as it is famous in other states of the world. The reasons are many. The first objective of the paper is to study the problems faced by women in arts education. The second objective of the study is to study the remedial measures to overcome the problems faced by women in arts education. The main problems are as under: no government attention to arts education, no infrastructure facilities to arts education, less government jobs opportunities in arts education, less awareness programmes related to arts education, negative attitudes of parents towards arts education, no government arts institutions in Jammu and Kashmir union territory etc. This is a conceptual paper based on the reviews of various research papers, dissertations, theses, articles, newspapers, journals, university news and internet websites related to problems faced by women in arts education.

This study is concerned with the analysis, comparism and examination of implementing inquiry in biology using some senior secondary school (SSS1) students in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State. The stratified random sampling technique was used considering the type of school, urban/rural and gender in which four secondary schools were drawn from the fifteen secondary schools Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State (ONELGA). From each of the four schools, fifteen (15) SSS1 biology students were picked up randomly into two classes. The study was made up of thirty (30) students from each school. This amounted to a total of one hundred and twenty (120) students from the four schools representing the sample of the study. These research questions with null hypothesis guided the study with the aid of a quasi experimental research design. These students were randomly assigned to two groups (treatment and control group). Treatment group were those taught biology using the sensitized inquiry teaching method while conventional method (lecture) was used for the control group.(1) Biology Achievement Test (BAT) was developed on the following units in biology, flower pollination, muscle structure and function, and seed germination. All these were drawn from anatomy and physiology of flowering plants and animal physiology in the biology textbook of SSl, to measure the initial and terminal academic achievement of the students. (2) Lesson notes were prepared on the above mentioned units using the inquiry teaching method and the conventional method using a pretest, post-test experimental treatment. Thus, it is the contention of the author that the inquiry approach would enhance student's achievement in biology, hence the thrust of the study.
