A shared understanding is an important precondition for cooperation between educational science, administration and practice. This article argues that a theory of change approach which is part of impact-oriented planning could be a useful tool for communication. The author proposes a theory of change for cooperation in area-based education networks and gives insights into how science and practitioners can complement each other using this tool and approach. While the approach seems promising, some limitations are also discussed.

The work is an overview of the International Conference held at the IMLI RAS in October 2020. The author analyses the structure of the conference, the composition of its participants, and the specifics of its online conduct; the problems of the reports presented at different sections, new approaches and concepts that revise and challenge negative perceptions, ideologemes and stereotypes in relation to Russian statehood. The review draws attention to topicality and prospects of further development of the problems stated at the conference.

Abstract
The value attached to the concept of guanxi (關係) by Chinese enterprises in Southeast Asia can be observed in their business culture. Previous scholars have attributed the success of Chinese enterprises in Southeast Asia to "guanxi networks." The author's observations on Thai enterprises made over a 5-year period are here used to validate their research findings. In conclusion, the author classifies Thailand as a market economy where business activities are conducted based on the value of guanxi and economic strategies.

Nicolò d'Arco (Trentino, Northern Italy) was an appreciated Latin poet and courtier of the first half of the sixteenth century, connected to the House of Gonzaga and to Mantua. His collection of verses, the so-called Numeri, contains erotic, political, and religious texts in Latin, addressed to many different patrons and friends. This paper focuses on an elegy in which the poet shows a strong and individual imitation of Catullus, and seeks to underline the relationship between the neo-Latin poet and the classical author.

The Ernst Kantorowicz's personal writings are held at the Leo Baeck Institute Archives in New York City. The "Phases of Medieval Rulership" is a little corpus of unknown pages where the German historian had drafted in the 40's of the 20th century the project of a new book which ultimately remained unpublished. In this article the author analyses the contents of this book comparing different manuscript versions and explaining the historian's version of Medieval history in terms of political theological rulership.

The author, pointing to the assumptions of participatory democracy, emphasises the importance of grassroots social initiatives in the formation of a democratic society. They are a symptom of the democratic culture of society. These conditions are fulfilled by the concept of a cooperative republic, formulated by the Polish philosopher Edward Abramowski, who lived at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. As a project of socio-political progress, the principles of the cooperative republic are still relevant.

How has the contraceptive pill developed in Germany from a politicized to a normalized technology? The author examines a wide range of historical discourses on the pill in the FRG from 1958 to 1989 and analyzes how the pill, as a material objectivation, helped shape social power relations, standardization efforts, and ideas of emancipation.
