The mathematics teacher initial training has been the subject of discussion in the governmental spheres and in the Brazilian Societies of Mathematical Education and of Mathematics. As a consequence of this, we notice advances in some critical points, among which stands out - the excess of academic mathematics disarticulated from the school mathematics; and - the approximation of the mathematics education theoretical-methodological trends with the mathematics undergraduate courses curricular organization. However, there are still absent the conversations involving the different and varied dimensions that interfere in the teaching and learning process of school mathematics; and the different curriculum theories. As a result, the neutrality of mathematical knowledge and the excessive concern with the normative dimension of the curriculum continue being protagonists in the mathematics teacher initial training. In this sense, this article aimed to investigate aspects related to the perception and understanding of basic education mathematics teachers about the school subjects, the school, the school education and about being a math teacher. Methodologically, it is included in a quali-quantitative research approach, in which, in order to achieve the project's objectives, a field research, through a questionnaire available in the "Google docs", was carried out with the public network mathematics teachers from São Paulo state. Theoretically, it was based on studies about curriculum theories. It was tangible that the collaborating teachers are still very attached to the normative dimension of the curriculum, always prioritizing what to teach, how to teach and how to evaluate, without worrying about other dimensions (cultural, social, political) that interfere in the curriculum organization.of the school mathematics.

This text proposes a reflection on art education, more specifically on plastic and visual expression and some of its main problems at a theoretical and practical level. Starting by analyzing the path of teaching and learning throughout history, we question today, its practices, between traditional teaching and the need to find alternative paths, appropriate to a world in permanent change. We try to understand the conception of art from which we started and its importance in educational practices, as well as the influence of the philosophical conception of the human being by teachers and educators, regarding the way they approach the educational proposals they develop.

The article addresses, from a documental, bibliographic and empirical point of view, the theme related to the implementation of goal 4 of the PNE 2014-2024 and the PNEE, asking the following question: What is the reality of the school routine that is under the influence of the Policy National Special Education in the Perspective of Inclusive Education (2008) and PNE (2014-2024) goal 4? The itinerary for the resolution of the question goes through the analysis of the legislation related to a case study of a specific school reality. The results show that the school community was not prepared in advance to assist people with disabilities, does not have an adequate infrastructure for serving the Special Education public and points to a group of Education professionals who did not receive continuing training from the State Department of Education of the Federal District as they should, but who are developing the work based on their own efforts.
The paper contrasts the government accountability in the financing of K-12 education in Argentina, Brazil, and Uruguay. It describes the countries' specificities in two periods with distinct government political lines: the 1990s, with the adoption of policies with a neoliberal matrix, and the period from 2000 to 2014, with the enactment of progressist policies for expansion of public expense in the three Latin American States. The topics presented in the comparative analysis represent the priorities of the state action regarding education, such as the right to it, compulsory and free education, public resources aimed to education, accountability between spheres and instances of government, and public expense. Each topic was analyzed in view of the situations of maintenance, redefinition, or partial redefinition concerning the two historical periods. The most usual situation in these countries was the redefinition of compulsory education, the change for higher in the references for expense in education, as well as renegotiations in the distribution of accountability between national and subnational governments in Argentina and Brazil.
; The present work discusses the possible correspondence between the production of knowledge in the scope of programs of graduation in Education and their contribution for the improvement of Basic Education in Brazil, through the stimulation to research made by promotion agencies, particularly the CNPq – through the Productivity in Research Scholarship (PQ). It also aimed to compare the process of granting support to individual projects in Brazil and possible symmetries with projects supported by the European Union. All these actions aim to demonstrate how the area of Education has positioned itself in the context of Brazil's scientific production, in terms of absolute numbers and thematic categorization, and how all these factors can influence, or already do, in the process of improving Basic Education. The data was collected from CNPq's C&T Investments' site, fromLattesPlatform and from CAPES' evaluation. After collecting the data it was made a categorization of the projects. Among the results can be observed a concentration of those who receive PQ Scholarships, and also the PQ scholarship holders' scientific production, in the regions Southeast and South. Regarding the initial attempt to categorize CNPq's research projects in the area of education relating them to the PQ Scholarships, it was observed a great valorization of themes that continue the conceptual aspects of dissertations and thesis of their researchers and the orientations that conduct them. In the context of Basic Education, there was great thematic coverage of subjects that range from teaching to international comparisons.
This essay discusses the Phenomenology and Human Formation according to Edmund Husserl's perspective. It is a reflection of use of the term "phenomenology', which provides the understanding of the meaning and significance of the phenomenon. It also points out that a major concern in phenomenology as method is to evidence the structures in which the experience occurs. Phenomenology must disclose, in the description of the experiences, the universal structures where they are based. It presents the categories of intentionality and epoche and the essay looks foward to the aknowledgement of every act of knowledge (noema) and its correspondence to an specific mode of consciousness (noesis). It also presents the husserlian category of Lebenswelt (the world-of-life), which is a fundamental and significant conception for Husserl throughout his career as a man and rigorous researcher. The text discusses the European humanity and human crisis and it offers a contribution to problematize education and current problems faced by humanity.
From an analysis of the Habermasian argumentation carried out in his work "Knowledge and Interest" of 1968, which we worked on from the 1987 translation; and anchored in the works of the Brazilian philosophers Durão, published in his book "A crítica de Habermas à dedução transcendental de Kant" of 1996 and Hansen, in his article published in Revista Crítica, entitled "Os riscos da crítica da sociedade" of 1998, we reflect, in this article, about how Habermas rescues the Theory of Knowledge from the distorted way behaved by Comtean positivism, passing through Freud and Marx to recover it as a Critical Theory of Society. We present the advent of the Information Age and the accompanying communication facilities to present the model of Distance Education as an effective way of extending the reach of Social Criticism as a self-reflection that makes the knowledge as a critical instrument not only for the individual but also of society.
Este texto apresenta a resenha do livro Music education in an age of virtuality and post-truth, do professor canadense da Western University, Paul G. Woodford. This text presents a review of the book Music Education in an Age of Virtuality and Post-Truth, by Canadian University Professor Paul G. Woodford (2019). The book stitches John Dewey's pragmatism with George Orwell's ideas about mass societies in order to understand the impact that certain actions of 21st century politicians can have on the field of Education, the Arts and the Humanities. In conclusion, similar examples of politicians from Brazil and Latin America are offered, supported by the ideas of Newton Duarte and what he called The Curriculum in times of Belligerent Obscurantism.
