The aim of the research is to bibliometrically analyze 1419 publications published in the field of information literacy in the field of education between 1989 and 2022 and indexed in the Web of Science (WoS) database. The data of the research was reached on 01.02.2022 and 7,210 scientific publications were found as a result of the search. According to the scope of the research, a limitation was made in the category of "educational / educational research". As a result of these processes, bibliometric data of 1419 studies were accessed and the data were recorded. Percentage and frequency values of the obtained data were calculated and presented in tables and graphics. At the same time, the data of the studies were visualized by making bibliometric network maps using the VOSviewer package program. According to the results of the research, the highest number of publications in the education category related to information literacy in WoS were made in the articles, papers and book chapters, respectively, in 2018, the most common publication language was English, then Spanish, and the most academic publications were USA. It was later found that it was made in China. Purdue University and the Purdue University System are top-publishing authors affiliated. In Turkey, Hacettepe University is the institution where the authors who publish the most on information literacy work. After 2007, the citations increased every year compared to the previous year, and the most citations were made in 2021. In the educational research category, "information literacy, media literacy, teaching strategies, digital" are the most frequently used keywords in studies on information literacy. The study was conducted in the WoS database, and it can be recommended to compare the bibliometric analyzes in the Scopus, EBSCO and PROQUEST databases to researchers who can work on information literacy. stract:

The design process, which starts with identifying the design problem in design studies, is completed by conveying the message of the creative visual solution to the target audience. The images used in the design for the target audience are carefully selected by the design team. Images have a universal language and are transmitted faster than written texts. Images have layers of meaning as cultural indicators of their own time. For this reason, the most frequently used method for examining and interpreting images is semiotics. The colors used in the design also represent culture. Each color can have personal meanings as well as cultural and universal meanings. Color constitutes an important code system in the reading of images through semiotics. To develop the ability to incorporate colors into design, it is necessary to understand the science, psychology and meaning of colors. Visual communication designers and artists are aware that effective color palette choices are one of the techniques that enable guiding eye tracking in design. Color choices, color palette designs play an important role in visual aesthetics. In addition to the contribution of colors to visual aesthetics, the meanings they attach to the message are also important. In this study, the use of images in design applications is examined through the language of colors. The contributions of the use of color to the meaning of the image are examined through examples.

The aim of this research is to reveal the bibliometric analysis of the published articles on collective memory. For this purpose, journal articles published in the Web of Science database were examined. In the Web of Science database, the keywords; collective memory" was searched in the categories of history, geography, and educational research. The study material is limited to 1986-2021 as the year, English as the publication language and SSCI, ESCI and A&HCI as indexes. The data obtained from the Web of Science database were analyzed with the bibliometrix package included in the RStudio program. Related to the subject of collective memory, annual production, the most relevant authors, the most relevant journals, the number of article productions in countries, the most frequently used sources, the most used keywords in the researches and the current trends in the articles on the subject of collective memory were determined in the journal articles. As a result of the research, it was identified that in recent years, when the articles written on the subject of social memory in history, geography and education researches have been increasing and diversifying, issues such as commemorative culture, space, violence, power and politics have created a trend towards this field. It was determined that the most relevant countries for the subject area were the USA, England, Israel, Germany and Canada. In the articles written on collective memory, it was determined that the most frequently used keywords of the researchers were history, politics, identity, memory, war, place, holocaust, and commemoration culture. It is thought that these results will give perspective to researchers who plan to conduct research in this field.

Security Studies cover the security of referent objects, individuals, or states. Since the Second World War, the importance and depth of Security Studies have increased. In the post-cold war period, it was seen as a purely military field and was handled within the scope of the power policies of the states. In the post-Cold War period, it emerged as a multidimensional form. This research describes prominent approaches such as Realism, Liberalism, Peace, and Critical Security Studies and the most recent essential theories. The research underlines the three pillars of The Copenhagen School, which has contributed to the academic literature on securitization/desecuritization theory, regional security complex theory, and sectoral security approach in international security studies. In the securitization theory, any subject can be non-politicised, politicised, or elevated to a national security concern level. According to the Regional Security Complex pillar, standard points, security priorities, and security dynamics must coincide with establishing a region in the security realm. Lastly, the safety of human societies is affected by factors in five primary areas - military, political, economic, social, and environmental factors. The study concludes that the Copenhagen School occupies a significant position among security studies methodologies and offers a helpful framework for examining contemporary global security concerns.

Today, with the possibilities brought by technology, it is seen that the data needed in almost every area of life is presented by using various visual tools. One of these tools is graphics. Graphs are tools that are used effectively in interpreting the data presented to us and in the visualization of more than one data group that has a relationship. One of the most important objectives of the social studies course, which is created by the content obtained from different social science fields, is to help students learn to read and prepare tables, graphics, and diagrams. The case study design, one of the qualitative research designs, was used in this study. The research group of the study consists of 50 senior teacher candidates studying in the social studies teaching program in a state university in the 2021-22 academic year. In the study, the data were collected through an achievement test that included three graphic reading and two graphic preparation questions developed by the researchers. In addition, an interview form consisting of two questions was used in the study to determine the difficulties faced by the students while reading and preparing graphics. It has been determined that both female and male social studies teacher candidates in the study group can read graphics containing few data but cannot read relatively complex graphics containing many data groups and have difficulty showing two or more data groups using any graphics. It was seen that the graphic reading skills of male students were slightly better than female students, and the graphic drawing skills of female students were slightly better than male students. In addition, it was concluded in the study that, as revealed in previous studies, the graphic reading levels of the students were generally moderate, they could not compare the data with each other or from a theoretical point of view, and they could read mostly the graphics prepared at the primary level.

Günümüzde kullanılan etkili öğretim yöntemlerinin ve materyallerinin gerek bilişsel gerekse de duyuşsal ve kinestetik becerilere hizmet ettiği bilinmektedir. Bu materyallerden birisi de çalışma yapraklarıdır. Nitekim çalışma yaprakları, ön bilgileri yoklamak, konuyu pekiştirmek ve değerlendirme yapmak amacıyla dersin her aşamasında kullanılabilen çok fonksiyonlu bir öğretim materyalidir. Bu bağlamda araştırmanın amacı çalışma yapraklarının sosyal bilgiler ders kitaplarındaki kullanım durumunun incelenmesi olarak belirlenmiştir. Çalışmada nitel veri toplama yöntemlerinden doküman incelemesi tekniği kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada 2022-2023 eğitim-öğretim yılında MEB tarafından öğrencilere dağıtılan dördüncü, beşinci, altıncı ve yedinci sınıf sosyal bilgiler ders kitapları veri kaynağı olarak kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada ders kitaplarında yer alan çalışma yaprakları belirlenerek sınıf düzeyine, ünitelere, öğrenme ve etkinlik alanlarına göre analiz edilerek tablolar halinde sunulmuştur. Araştırma sonucunda, sosyal bilgiler ders kitaplarında 774 çalışma yaprağı tespit edilmiş ve çalışma yapraklarının kavram ve zihin haritaları, diyagram, tablo, nesne, harita, poster, karikatür, fotoğraf, resim, edebi ürünler, gazeteler, dergiler, genel ağ haberleri, şema, minyatür, anayasa metni, bayrak, resmi belge, kroki, mektup, kitap bölümü gibi farklı araçlarla beraber kullanıldığı görülmüştür. Çalışma yapraklarının en fazla 7. sınıfta ve "Kültür ve Miras" öğrenme alanında en az ise 6. sınıfta ve "Küresel Bağlantılar" öğrenme alanında yer aldığı tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca çalışma yaprakları etkinlik alanlarına göre analiz edildiğinde en fazla "açık uçlu soruları cevaplama, en az ise "sözlü tarih" etkinlik alanı olduğu anlaşılmaktadır. Tüm bu verilerden hareketle bazı önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

Bu araştırmanın genel amacı Sosyal Bilgiler öğretmenlerinin kültürel okuryazarlık kavramına ilişkin görüşlerini belirlemektir. Çünkü 21. yüzyılda ulaşım ve teknolojinin hızlı bir şekilde geliştiği dünyamızda artık farklı kültürde olan insanlar aynı ortamı kolaylıkla paylaşmakta ve sınıflarımızda göç ve savaşlardan dolayı çeşitli kültürlerden gelen öğrenciler bulunmaktadır. Sınıflarımızın farklı kültürleri paylaşan öğrencilerden oluşması, bu öğrencilerin derse ve okula yönelik uyumlarının kolaylaşması için Sosyal bilgiler dersine önemli bir görev düşmektedir. Çünkü Sosyal Bilgiler dersinin en önemli amaçlarından biri toplum ile uyumlu etkin vatandaş yetiştirme amacıdır. Bu yüzden hem Sosyal Bilgiler dersi hem de kültürel okuryazarlık kavramı önem arz etmektedir. Bu nedenle Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretmenlerinin kültürel okuryazar bir birey olması ve öğretmenlik meslek yeterliliğine kültürel okuryazarlık kavramının eklemesi 21. yüzyılda önemli bir konu haline gelmiştir. Araştırma nitel araştırma deseni kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın katılımcılarını kolay ulaşılabilir durum örneklemesi yöntemiyle seçilmiş 23 Sosyal Bilgiler öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın verileri ise dört soruluk yapılandırılmış görüşme formu ile toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizi ise hem betimsel hem de içerik analizi kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucunda ise Sosyal Bilgiler öğretmenleri kültürel okuryazarlık kavramını kültürel farkındalık olarak tanımlamışlardır. Ayrıca Sosyal Bilgiler öğretmenleri kültürel okuryazar bir bireyin özelliklerini ise eleştirel düşünce becerisine sahip hoşgörü değerini ön plana çıkaran bir birey olarak tanımlamışlardır. Son olarak öğretmenler Sosyal Bilgiler öğretmenlerinin kültürel okuryazar olmasının öğrencinin gelişimine faydalı olacağını ve öğrencinin geldiği kültür çevresini dikkate alarak ders işlenebilmesini sağlayabileceğini belirtmişlerdir. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgulara göre alanyazına katkısı olması için ve yapılacak bilimsel çalışmalar için birtakım önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

This research aims to evaluate the developments in the recent history of the social studies course in Turkey (1998-2022) through the curricula. Since 1998, 2005, and 2018 social studies curricula and literature studies were used as data sources, the research conducted with the document analysis method. The data were evaluated by the thematic analysis method. At the end of the research, it was determined that the 1998 curriculum, which was first prepared with a behavioral approach, did not fully reflect the understanding of contemporary social studies. Secondly, the 2005 curriculum, which was prepared with a constructivist approach, emphasized individual identity instead of social identity, unlike the curricula prepared until that time. Furthermore, the 2005 curriculum brought many innovations such as learning strands, sub-disciplines, skills, concepts, values, activity recommendations, and assessment and evaluation elements that did not exist in previous curricula. Moreover, while sub-disciplines, skills, concepts, and activity recommendations were not included in the 2018 curriculum, some values were removed and some new values were added instead. Finally, it has been seen that the 2018 curriculum includes various competencies and literacy, unlike the 2005 curriculum. Based on these results, it can be suggested that the 2018 curriculum be updated in more detail to guide teachers.

Bu araştırmanın amacı sosyal bilgiler öğretmenlerinin derslerinde teknoloji kullanma durumlarına yönelik görüşlerini tespit etmektir. Çalışma nitel araştırma türlerinden biri olan temel nitel araştırma deseni ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmanın araştırma grubunu, 2022-2023 eğitim-öğretim yılı Erzurum İli Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğüne bağlı, Palandöken ve Yakutiye İlçelerinde görev yapan 10 tane sosyal bilgiler öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Bu çalışmada elde edilen veriler, araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan yarı yapılandırılmış mülakat soruları ve ses kayıt cihazı ile elde edilmiştir. Araştırmada elde edilmiş olan veriler içerik analizi ile çözümlenmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda öğretmenlerin tamamının teknoloji ile ilgili araçlar kullandığı ve bu araçlar içerisinde en fazla etkileşimli tahtanın tercih edildiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Çalışmaya göre teknolojik aletlerle ilgili teknik sorunların yaşanması ve internet erişim sorununun olması öğretmenler tarafından en fazla belirtilen sorunlar içerisinde yer almaktadır. Çalışmaya katılan öğretmenlerin tamamı teknoloji kullanımının derse katkı sağladığını belirtmiştir. Buna yönelik olarak teknolojik aletlerin dersi somutlaştırdığı, öğrencilerin ilgisini çektiği, dersi görsel anlamda zenginleştirdiği ve öğrencileri aktif hale getirdiği gibi görüşlerin öne çıktığı tespit edilmiştir. Araştırmanın sonuçları doğrultusunda EBA etkinliklerinin geliştirilip zenginleştirilmesi, ders konularına uygun daha fazla içerik üretilmesi, öğrencilerin dikkatini çekecek uygulamaların arttırılması, öğretmen ve öğrenci etkileşimine açık içeriklerin üretilmesi gibi öneriler de bulunulmuştur.

There has been much scholarly attention given to the role of women in the labor market throughout the years. While there are plenty of evaluations of ideas and perspectives regarding work-life concepts, there is limited understanding regarding the theoretical foundation of work-life concerns specifically about mothers. This study aims to provide an overview of theories used to investigate the work-life issues of working mothers. The data were collected from the Web of Science database. A total of 63 research studies examining the work-life challenges faced by employed women were evaluated based on theoretical frameworks. It was seen that identity theory and gender perspective are dominant perspectives in the current literature. In addition, the prevailing work-life perspectives adopted in the studies are work-life balance and work-life conflict. The study offers a detailed examination of the various theoretical perspectives employed in understanding the work-life difficulties encountered by employed mothers.

Günümüzde uluslararası ilişkiler alanında etkisini artırmak isteyen ülkeler askeri ve ekonomik girişimlerin maliyetlerinden kaçınmak ve iletişimin gücünü kullanarak halkları ikna etmek amacıyla yumuşak gücü ve algı yönetimi stratejilerini kullanmayı tercih etmektedirler. İran'ın bölgesel duruşunda ve algı yönetimi ile etki alanını genişletmesinde Şii jeopolitiği önemli bir yere sahiptir. Orta Asya'nın kilit taşı olarak değerlendirilen Afganistan, tarihi İpek Yolu'nun da ikiye ayırdığı jeopolitik önemi yüksek olan bir ülke olarak dikkat çekmektedir. Afganistan'da yaşanan gelişmelerin etkileri, bulunduğu bölge itibarıyla kendi sınırları dışında da hissedilmiş, bu nedenle birçok ülke Afganistan ile ilgili gelişmelere kendi politikalarında da yer vermiştir. Bu ülkelerden birisi de İran İslam Cumhuriyeti'dir. Afganistan'a sınır komşusu olan İran, bölgesel etki alanını genişletme ve ulusal güvenliğini sağlama gayretleri çerçevesinde Afganistan'da sosyal, siyasi, ekonomik ve güvenlik alanlarında etkinlik göstermeye çalışmaktadır. Bunu yaparken çeşitli enstrümanlar kullanmaktadır. İran bu faaliyetlerinde etnik, mezhepsel, kültürel ve coğrafi yakınlıktan faydalanmaya çalışmaktadır. Çalışmanın temel amacı ABD'nin 2021 yılında Afganistan'dan çekilme kararı ile yönetimi ele geçiren 2. Taliban döneminden önce İran'ın Afganistan'da Şiilik üzerinden uyguladığı algı yönetimi stratejilerini analiz etmektir. Çalışma içerisinde algı yönetimi unsurları ele alınarak, İran'ın çok çeşitli yumuşak güç unsurlarından biri olan Şiiliğin kültürel, dinî ve siyasî boyutu üzerinden kurumlar ve şahısların Afganistan üzerinde oluşturduğu etki alanı incelenecektir.

In the globalizing world, quality in communication and internationalization are important. Higher education institutions are taking the necessary steps for the standardization. Quality commissions are formed to maintain the education given at universities to a certain standard, and private organizations and associations are widely engaged in communication. The European Association for Communication Studies and Education operates internationally works on various themes in communication. In Turkey, Communication Research Association established to accredit programs related to communication education; evaluates training programs upon the application of institutions, carries out the training activities of those who will take part as evaluators in accreditation studies, assists programs in meeting the necessary criteria, and carries out joint projects with educational institutions. The aim of this study is to reveal the relationship of the keywords determined as quality, internationalization and communication through the example of ECREA and to compare these themes with ILEDAK themes. Information about the similarities and differences between the quality standards of communication education in Turkey and Europe is obtained. The method is thematic content analysis. The data presented within the program outputs determined for the communication basic areas on the official websites of ECREA and ILAD.

Pek çok görsel öge barındıran sosyal bilgiler dersinin bu dersi alan öğrenciler tarafından nasıl algılandığına odaklanan çalışmada algılar amblem ve logo tasarımları aracılığıyla incelenmiştir. Bu bağlamda araştırmanın temel amacı bu tasarımları çeşitli kategorilere (tasarımda kullanılan objeler, renkler, kavramlar, şekiller gibi) göre inceleyerek ortaokul öğrencilerinin sosyal bilgiler dersine yönelik algılarını ortaya çıkarmak şeklinde belirlenmiştir. Araştırma kapsamında öncelikle öğrencilere amblem ve logo kavramları örnekler verilerek tanıtılmış, ardından sosyal bilgiler dersini temsil eden amblem/logo tasarlamaları istenmiştir. Tasarım aşamasında renkli boyalar, kalem, kağıt, cetvel, pergel gibi araç-gereçler kullanılmış, tasarım sonucunda katılımcıların tasarımlarına ilişkin görüşleri de alınmıştır. Nitel araştırma yaklaşımın benimsendiği araştırmanın çalışma grubunu ortaokul 6. ve 7.sınıf düzeylerinde öğrenim görmekte olan toplam 33 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmada veriler uzman görüşü alınarak araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen tasarım/görüş formu aracılığıyla toplanmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen verilerin analizinde içerik analizi kullanılmıştır. Tasarımlar ve görüşler ayrıntılı bir şekilde incelenerek frekans ve yüzde değerleriyle birlikte tablolar oluşturulmuştur. Araştırma sonucunda katılımcıların tasarımlarında obje olarak daha çok insan ve ağaç; kavram olarak sosyal bilgiler; kısaltma olarak SB (Sosyal Bilgiler); şekil olarak daire ve renk olarak mavi, sarı, yeşil, kırmızı, kahverengi gibi renkleri kullandıkları bilgilerine ulaşılmıştır. Buna ek olarak katılımcılar tasarımlarında hayat, değerler ve bilim-teknoloji gibi temalara yönelik mesajlar vermek istediklerini ifade etmişlerdir.
