The article tries to relate Portuguese historiographical literature of the colonial period of East Timor as the source of arguments for a postcolonial fictional literature through two works of great importance for the understanding of the period. The narratives of the works As possessões Portuguesas na Oceania of Afonso de Castro of 1867 and Ocupação e Colonização Branca de Timor of Teófilo Duarte of 1940, both former Portuguese governors of Timor-Leste, are abundant and present facts of great literary beauty, that as facts historical, tell the saga of the Timorese people. With this direction, the article traces the process of colonization in the trail of the Great Navigations that initiated the globalization and the cultural domination to culminate in the official historiography of Timor and the literary arguments that can be harvested from it. The work is part of the doctoral research of one of its authors and as a methodology, the bibliographic research was carried out to historical documents present in the Postgraduate Library of the National University of Timor Lorosa'e.

Students highlighted the use of the Internet as a tool to aid in research and scholarship, as well as other alternative purposes, such as real-time interaction, through chat rooms and virtual communities. The students reported the use of the Internet as a tool to aid in research and school work and other purposes alternatives such as real-time interaction through chat rooms and virtual communities. Most students (n = 179) responded that he believed to be passive interactivity between the user and the environment distance education, and Moodle, the leading virtual learning environment. Convenient schedules, individual attention, progress in the promised time and quality of teaching materials, were among the main attractions for a distance learning course. Among the main disadvantages cited by respondents, showed up: the digital divide (related to the need for computers), the large number of students per tutor, the excessive use of multiple choice questions and the failure of activities for students (dropouts). Most respondents judged important information technology and communication (ICT) to support the classroom teaching the courses of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and for vocational training, skill levels: technical, update and graduation. The disciplines of greater theoretical approach were cited as those most fit over a distance course in Pharmacy. With the analysis of such data, it was found that respondents showed an awareness of the need for distance education in its formation. However, had expressed concern about the quality and complementarity of the studies, due to the specificity of each activity that involves the professional practice of pharmacy and the patient.
Homo sapiens was born with infectious agents that circulated in the common ancestral animal from which both the man and the chimpanzee evolved. We have acquired other microorganisms while still in African territory, in the time of the hunters and gatherers. We have left Africa, have conquered the planet and have become sedentary. We discovered agriculture and animal domestication and, thus, have been invaded by new infectious agents. The microorganisms came along with human locomotion. They were present in the human migrations from Africa, in the military campaigns of Antiquity, in the ocean voyages of discovery, in the colonizations, in the slave trade and so on. The advance in the studies of microorganisms DNA and RNA clarifies the origin and the spread of various infectious diseases. We can then find out how viruses, bacteria and parasites have been globalized since our departure from Africa until the present day.

In the present paper we try to recover the reflection of Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels on the American workers' movement of their time, especially as regards to the role of socialists. It is our understanding that this reflection of Marx and Engels contributes, although little explored, to the understanding of the conception of both - the materialist conception of history -, not because it contributed to its final elaboration, but through the practice that the authors made this when they analyzed what was happening on the other side of the Atlantic. The reflection of these two authors may still be, in addition to merely theoretical issues, quite current - hence the focus on issues of political party strategy - since the parties that claim the working class today are, after all, much more than in the second half of the nineteenth century, but on the other hand, much less expressive than in the second half of the twentieth century. It is, in fact, one of several particular contributions of the conception of the two German authors.
