Gen. The editorial criticizes the appointment of misters John Barton Paynes and Charles Beecher Warren to attend the meetings of the Mixed Commission with the government of Mexico as commissioners of the government and nation of the United States. This commission has the goal of establishing common ground so that the Harding administration will recognize the government of Mexico. Schleimer, who at the request of President Alvaro Obregón is working with local U.S. legislatures to approve the resumption of diplomatic relations between both countries and reports on their efforts.
