Sovereignty and what it means is less discussed on Political Science and International Relations. May be we could justify it because of the empiric and positivism that even more support that studies. However, the main justification could be found on the way as the rational sovereigns has crossed the modern and contemporary political body -- seems to be the air we breathe. This article will try to deconstruct this impregnation and to alert to the uncertain consistence of sovereignty by stressing its architecture. Adapted from the source document.

Samuel Huntington's The Clash of Civilizations and the Remaking of the World Order (1996) had a tremendous impact on in post-Cold War international political debate; & it is not impossible that it has also had a significant impact on international politics in this period. However, the project of understanding the emerging international politics from the viewpoint of a cultural paradigm can be no more than reductionist. One thing that Huntington's book does not offer is a "paradigm"; a viable reading of current international politics has not yet come together. Adapted from the source document.

With that in mind, the first section refers to the context in which the work was made; the second presents general characteristics of the European confederation; and the third describes discrepancies of its versions. The fourth, fifth and sixth sections studies the chronology and the stages of the writing, the changes made in the manuscripts and their diffusion; the seventh examines the debate on the historical primacy of the Memories. The article tries to reconstruct the conditions that determine the elaboration and reception of the first Pan-European project. Adapted from the source document.

In a moment that NATO is celebrating its 60th anniversary, that the new American administration is defining its foreign policy agenda, & that the three major European powers have Atlantic approaches, it is particular relevant to make the state of the art of NATO & the European Union relationship in the post-9/11 international security architecture. There are two fundamental reasons that motivate this article: the emergence of new state & non-state actors & the urgency of a new transatlantic paradigm to face the current threats & international challenges.
