; The Israeli Ambassador reviews the main historical and political causes which led to the failure of the peace process initiated by Israeli and Palestine governments. He does so by outlining certain premises and key moments in the difficult relations between these two peoples. The conclusion of the article is that, however difficult the present situation may be, there is still hope for achieving peace in the area. ; Instituto de Relaciones Internacionales (IRI)

It is highly thought that the messianic activism lies behind the political crashes in today's Middle East conflicts. Therefore, we need to survey whether the Abrahamic traditions have any influence over the everyday's political challenges. This paper is going to show that messianism at the two sides of conflicts is not the main factor. Both in Islam and in Judaism, messianic activism (or active messianism) is not permitted and the abuse or instrumentalization of this belief is hardly rejected. Theappearance of such aspirations depends, conversely, on the political situations. Nearly any religion would be converted or transformed to a political movement, if its followers could not find their favorite world through secular human actions. The failure of international and regional organizations or conferences to solve the problems justly and impartially led to the appearance of a religious messianic approach to the Middle East conflicts.

Using National Household Survey data, this study examines the situation of Peruvian middle class households in Metropolitan Lima and Callao prior to theCOVID-19 pandemic through financial and non-financial variables in order to identify vulnerability factors in the overall population and in income quintiles. The analysis has revealed that health, income and labor are the most vulnerable indicators and could be heavily affected by government measures againstCOVID-19, such as mandatory social isolation (lockdown), social distancing, and movement and gathering restrictions. In this context, households in the lowestquintile are substantially more susceptible to falling into poverty due to economic instability, labor informality and lack of social protection. The study results suggest that the definition of "vulnerability" needs to go beyond poverty measurements to improve the focalization of government policies and strategies in similar crises. ; Using National Household Survey data, this study examines the situation of Peruvian middle class households in Metropolitan Lima and Callao prior to theCOVID-19 pandemic through financial and non-financial variables in order to identify vulnerability factors in the overall population and in income quintiles. The analysis has revealed that health, income and labor are the most vulnerable indicators and could be heavily affected by government measures againstCOVID-19, such as mandatory social isolation (lockdown), social distancing, and movement and gathering restrictions. ; The end of the Cold War meant, for Turkey, a Windows of opportunity. Though Turkey didn t share most of the basic NATO s values, such as democracy, freedom and human rights, its privileged position allowed Ankara to be a member of the Alliance. When Gorbachev stated/decreed the end of the Soviet Union, Turkey started to think that their dream was to be the leader of the Turkic World. Thus the creation of a Pan-Turkic community from the Adriatic Sea to China would be possible. Besides, The US encouraged their pretensions permitting and, overall supporting all the Turkish initiatives (TEPAV, TIKA, Turkic Summit etc.) However, Turkey has not been able to seize the historical opportunity and Ankara undertook these initiatives in vain. ; info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersion

The conflict in Kurdistan is one of the longer duration and gravity throughout Middle East; and above all, must be considered as a regional conflict, which not only runs in Turkey, but has influence in the economic, military and diplomatic relations between the West and the Islamic world. The procedures for the accession of Turkey to the European Union (since 1999), the invasion of Iraq (2003-2011) and the arab riots in Syria (2011) are tangential issues in appearance that have directly affected the situation of the inhabitants of Kurdistan. The Kurds, living in an area that oozes oil and water, and in the strategic path of the oil and gas pipelines that supplies (now or in the future) to the West, have seen how their aspirations for a free and independent State, which once was recognized, are today farest than ever. But the debate in this geostrategic conflict use to forget the international power relations and is focused on the struggle for human rights, forgetting most of the occasions that among them, self-determination is not the less important one.
