In 2014, Norway celebrates the bicentenary of the Norwegian Constitution. The Constitution has been the backbone of a society that has created political stability, economic development and personal freedom for generations of Norwegians. The Norwegian Constitution was inspired by the democratic forces of its time, but most especially by the American Constitution. Today, they represent the world's two oldest, living constitutions. The book explains how the Norwegian Constitution was created, how it has functioned, and the democratic challenges it faces. The book also examines how the American Constiution has influenced the Norwegian Constiution. The book is directed toward a wide range of readers, especially students in all levels. Prominent Norwegian writers and scholars have explored these themes in this unique presentation of the Norwegian and American Constitution. President of the Norwegian Parliament, Olemic Thommessen, and American Vice President i USA, Walter Mondale, have written the preface. The book is a de lux book of art. A number of Norwegian contemporary artists are inspired by the constitution. They have been especially concerned about subjects related to the role of the individual in society, democracy, freedom of speech and preservation of natural resources. They also have focused on what it means to have a national identity. The artistic presentations cover a wide register and the illustrations are carried out in different technics. Exhibitions will be arranged in both Norway and the US where the pieces of art in the book will be presented

Safet Zec is one of the most prominent Bosnian painters and graphic artists. For decades he has been creating works with a certain number of motifs and returning to them on several occasions during his active years. Above all, in his works he depicts landscapes, architectural motifs (the house, the homestead, room, window, door...), still life (bread, a cloth, table, flower pot...), and human figures. While his early work dates back to a peaceful time in his life in former Yugoslavia, marked by an atmosphere of happiness, fulfillment, and freedom, his later works, which date from the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina and its end, depict the tragedy and collective suffering of a people. This paper aims to present the importance of the works of Safet Zec and to view his opus from the aspect of his choice of motifs, their transformation, and the message the artist conveys depending on the social circumstances. We hope that this paper will introduce the work of this artist to the wider and expert public, and provide a contribution to a broader view of his work, encouraging researchers to further study.

One of the most important topics of Christianity is the Last Judgment. The Byzantines, as a Christian society, showed great interest to this subject and produced many pieces of art depicting it. This scene consists of several themes coming together. Among the most important themes of the scene is Abraham and Hades's Bosom. Using these themes, the artists have kept the event alive in the minds of people about what will happen in the afterlife. While Abraham's Bosom is depicted to the right of Jesus as the area where those who found salvation are located, Hades's Bosom is located on his left side and those, who will face their punishment are seen there. The artists depicted the scenes in connection with each other. However, there is an important difference here. While Abraham's Bosom is an intermediate form for those who will attain salvation, Hades's Bosom has been the part of eternal fire. To make the picture more dramatic and remarkable, the painter depicted the lake of fire with the dragon of Hades swallowing the dead. Thus, the viewer can now clearly see what kind of suffering human beings will face in afterlife. The artists created a contrast between the two themes by using many permeable structures and transferred this to the paintings.

In this study, the story of the emergence and recording process of my composition that I dedicated to the precious memory of Mehmet Âkif Ersoy is explained. The research has the feature of "personal narrative" within the scope of autobiography, which is one of the "narrative research" types of qualitative research method (Büyüköztürk et al. 2018: 285). Notes were taken during the preparation process of the video clip, which was published on the 100th anniversary of the approval of the National Anthem, and the information obtained through these notes is stated in the "stages and control" table in the findings section of the study. The video clip, contributed by 14 students and 6 artists from 12 provinces, was completed in 5 stages in 20 days and published on March 12, 2021.
Within the last two decades streaming services and digital platforms have come to dominate the distribution of recorded music. What has this transformation meant for the music industry in Norway? From Spinning to Streaming: Norwegian Music Reaching the World presents research on how artists, musicians, composers and other intermediaries within Norway's music industry are meeting this digital reality.Digitalization has led to new possibilities for producing and distributing music, as well as for exporting music and succeeding on an international level. Yet the route out into the world via the internet can be both steep and unpredictable. By investigating ways of working, types of expertise required, as well as economic and copyright circumstances, the authors demonstrate how digital media are both important tools for creating musical works and a key engine of development in the music industry itself. The authors rely on various theoretical concepts and analytical perspectives to explore the interplay between technological, professional, social and cultural conditions in the music industry's development. A central finding in the book is the need among several actors in the Norwegian music industry for increased specialized competence and understanding regarding rights issues. In addition, the "platformization" of the industry calls for a greater degree of professionalization and specialized expertise than the Norwegian music industry is equipped with today. From Spinning to Streaming: Norwegian Music Reaching the World will be of interest to researchers, students, politicians, decision-makers and other actors within the music industry. The book's authors are Anja Nylund Hagen, University of Oslo; Mari Torvik Heian, Telemark Research Institute; Roy Aulie Jacobsen, Telemark Research Institute; and Bård Kleppe, Telemark Research Institute.; De siste ti årene har strømmetjenester og digitale plattformer nærmest overtatt distribusjonen av innspilt musikk.

Reaction through art, observed among the 20th century artistic movements, can result in artistic works in which animals are made the object of violence. The objections caused by these works sometimes make people question what art is and its value, and sometimes result in legal interventions. It is the forms of expression in contemporary art where idea gets ahead of physical production. In such an atmosphere, 'philosophy of art activities that question what art is' have become almost equivalent to artistic production. However, the controversial works make the concepts of ethics, law or public influence determine what art can or cannot be. In the background of all these developments, advances in the field of biology blurred the boundaries between animals and humans. After such developments, through which the anthropocentric thought system has lost its power, the position of animals in the system will also change. The reappraisal of animals will fundamentally affect the behavior of the human species towards them, undoubtedly. In such a system where the determinants of the concept of ethics are redefined, objectification of animals will not be ethical as before. In this regard, art can no longer be separated from other fields. When the determinant of the boundaries of art is a non-art field, the discussions within the field lose their meaning. This study aims to investigate the limits of contemporary art by examining the reactions to the selected examples of artists whose ways of including animals in their productions are criticized.

The design process, which starts with identifying the design problem in design studies, is completed by conveying the message of the creative visual solution to the target audience. The images used in the design for the target audience are carefully selected by the design team. Images have a universal language and are transmitted faster than written texts. Images have layers of meaning as cultural indicators of their own time. For this reason, the most frequently used method for examining and interpreting images is semiotics. The colors used in the design also represent culture. Each color can have personal meanings as well as cultural and universal meanings. Color constitutes an important code system in the reading of images through semiotics. To develop the ability to incorporate colors into design, it is necessary to understand the science, psychology and meaning of colors. Visual communication designers and artists are aware that effective color palette choices are one of the techniques that enable guiding eye tracking in design. Color choices, color palette designs play an important role in visual aesthetics. In addition to the contribution of colors to visual aesthetics, the meanings they attach to the message are also important. In this study, the use of images in design applications is examined through the language of colors. The contributions of the use of color to the meaning of the image are examined through examples.

How should we go about collaborating with children and adolescents? Young Participation: Creativity and Conflict in Planning explores how youth participation work in practical terms, in the context of urban development processes at the municipal level in Norway.
From their unique perspectives, several social scientists, artists, an architect, and a young contributor discuss experiences and dilemmas of including children, teens, and young adults as contributing stakeholders on various projects. The reader will find concrete examples of participation processes and tools developed in cooperation with young people, architects, and public employees.
The chapters reveal how good intentions regarding inclusion can obscure power hierarchies, friction, and conflicts of interest. Yet they also demonstrate that the potential for creativity and innovation are great when young people are invited to contribute their input in planning and developing everything from youth community centers and school grounds to parks and other outdoor spaces in local neighborhoods.
This anthology will provide inspiration to researchers, students, municipal employees, urban planners, and others working collaboratively in urban and community development. Among the topics covered are participation as co-research, social entrepreneurship and participation as part of school curricula and in socio-cultural place analyses, the power of the hand in creative practices, co-location as a trend, digital and hybrid participation processes, and power plays in planning. By introducing a new model for 'thick participation', the anthology attempts to ensure that young citizens are not just seen and heard but are also given the opportunity to become lasting resources within their local communities.
The book's editors, senior researcher Aina Landsverk Hagen and research professor Bengt Andersen, are both based at the Work Research Institute (AFI), Oslo Metropolitan University.
