The creation of the military medical museum of the UVMA and the organization of a comprehensive study of the history of military medicine strengthened the scientific and cultural potential of the educational institution, created an atmosphere of involvement of the UVMA staff in the centuries-old traditions of military medicine in Ukraine, and gave a new impetus to the military and patriotic education of students. In addition, the creation of the museum made it possible to strengthen the representative functions of UVMA, create an additional factor of successful communication and establishment of business and professional contacts with colleagues in Ukraine and abroad, contributed to the organization of a meaningful cultural program for the stay of various delegations and individual officials at the academy. Museums of military and military medical educational institutions acquire special importance in the conditions of a full-scale war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. The demand is put forward to them to truthfully reflect the military resistance of Ukraine for the preservation of its own state independence, which began in 2014, by various museum means. With the help of photo and video materials, documents, fragments of weapons, transformed into museum exhibits, it is necessary to depict the long, exhausting, tragic and at the same time heroic struggle of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which turned into a national war of Ukraine against Russian aggression from February 24, 2022. Relevance of research. In accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine, the educational process carried out in educational institutions combines three components: the educational process, the scientific process and the educational process. The educational process, as an important integral component of the educational process, is aimed at forming in those who study patriotism, respect for the state language and state symbols of Ukraine, a careful attitude to national, historical, cultural values, the cultural heritage of the Ukrainian people, the need in case of need to protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. This direction of educational activity acquires special importance in the conditions of a full-scale war between the Russian Federation and Ukraine. The valuable experience of the organization of medical support of the Armed Forces (AF) of Ukraine during the years of armed resistance to the military aggression of the Russian Federation should be highlighted in a museum exhibition. The need for military-patriotic education is determined by the requirements that the state and society apply to servicemen, the Military Oath and the Statutes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Activities of military and patriotic education in higher military educational institutions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are carried out in the format of lectures, discussions, meetings with veterans, organization of thematic exhibitions, museum expositions.The purpose of the study is aimed at a comprehensive analysis of materials that highlight the specific results of using the museum of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences and the museums of the city of Kyiv in the military and patriotic education of students. Materials and methods. The information base of the article consists of materials that highlight the impact of military-patriotic education activities on students of UVMA (excursions to museums of UVMA and the city of Kyiv, meetings with veterans of the medical service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, prominent Ukrainian public and cultural figures, leaders and members of foreign delegations of military medical services NATO member countries, etc.). Scientific novelty.The authors pay special attention to the works of Pirogov, which were written in the 1870s as a result of his stay in the theaters of war of the Franco-Prussian and Russian-Turkish wars. Comprehensive professional competence, great authority, colossal practical experience of a military field surgeon allowed Pirogov to go far beyond the inspection functions assigned to him and become in fact the main consultant on the organization of medical support of troops. In works written by Pirogov in his estate in the Ukrainian Podillya, he not only summarizes his own views on the organization of medical care and military field surgery, but also expresses his views on field hygiene, military field therapy and epidemiology. In particular, it is noted that the philosophical views of MI are especially relevant today. Pirogov on the common features of wars and related wars, epidemics. Competence Pirogov on the organization of medical care and control of infectious diseases are confirmed by his works, written in 1869 and 1872 at the request of the Poltava Provincial Zemstvo. In particular, there are views on the organization of health care and the collection of statistics that will allow for the necessary preventive measures, as well as sharp criticism of local government agencies for the illusory ideas about the effectiveness of the fight against infectious diseases.In preparing the article, the authors used materials from the lifetime editions of works by Pirogov, deprived of censorship of that time, as well as publications about the outstanding thinker of authoritative authors (M. Burdenko, F. Walker, A. Georgievsky), which have been studied to this day insufficiently and quite fragmentarily. Conclusions. Analysis and publication of the main provisions of little-known and little-studied professional publications MI Pirogov, written by him during the years 1860-1870 testify to the extremely active educational, organizational, clinical and scientific activities of Pirogov in Ukraine. The purpose of the study is aimed at a comprehensive analysis of materials highlighting the specific results of cooperation between Ukrainian Military Medical Academy (UMMA) and medical services of the NATO countries, which has almost quarter-century history, since the mid-1990s, and in which the medical service of the Turkish Armed Forces occupies a leading position. Materials and methods. The information base of the article includes the materials of official bilateral visits between the leaders of medical services of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Turkish Republic, and between the Ukrainian Military Medical Academy and the Gulhane Military Medical Academy (Ankara) at 1997-2000. A unique illustrative content (photographic materials) is included, which is verifying the documents and data used in the article. Results. The article describes in details of the visit program and their practical implementation. Based on the specific results of professional relationships between Ukrainian and Turkish military medical specialists their scientific and practical significance and relevance have been demonstrated. Conclusions. Active organizational and informational cooperation in the process of official bilateral Ukrainian-Turkish visits at 1997-2000 laid the foundation for further cooperation between medical services and military medical academies of Ukraine and Turkey. The first official visit of the leaders of medical service of the armed forces of Ukraine to the Republic of Turkey in April 1997 and familiarization with the organization and functioning of the medical service, as well as the training of military doctors for the armed forces of Turkey as a NATO member country, had a defined value in the development of military medical training system in Ukraine. The subsequent bilateral scientific and practical relations between Ukrainian and Turkish military doctors in June 2000 significantly improved their development and upgrading. Due to the intensity of the political dialogue on topical security issues in the foreign policy of Ukraine and Turkey, the further development of relations between the armed forces of Ukraine and the Republic of Turkey, in particular in the military medicine field, is very relevant and can raise them to a qualitatively new level, subject to effective scientific and practical cooperation ; L'article décrit en détail les programmes de visites officielles de l'histoire des relations entre l'Académie de médecine militaire ukrainienne et l'Académie de médecine militaire Gulhane des forces armées turques et leur mise en œuvre pratique. En raison de l'intensité du dialogue politique sur les questions de sécurité d'actualité dans la politique étrangère de l'Ukraine et de la Turquie, la poursuite du développement des relations entre les forces armées ukrainiennes et les forces armées de la République de Turquie, en particulier dans le domaine de la médecine militaire, est très pertinente et, sous réserve d'une coopération scientifique et pratique efficace, peut à un niveau qualitativement nouveau. Conclusions. Une coopération organisationnelle et informationnelle active lors des visites bilatérales officielles ukraino-turques au cours de la période 1997-2000 a jeté les bases d'une coopération future entre les services médicaux et les académies médicales militaires d'Ukraine et de Turquie. The article examines the issues of modern military medicine in Ukraine as an independent state. The main milestones of national military medicine were drawn up, and the peculiarities of its reform were highlighted. The article also provides an analysis of measures to regulate and support the reform of military medicine. Taking into account the data obtained from a large number of archival sources and administrative materials, special attention was paid to the transformation of the management of state medical support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Some shortcomings in the reform of military medical education have been identified, and the main perspective directions of its development are shown. ; L'article examine les problèmes de la médecine militaire moderne en Ukraine en tant qu'état indépendant. The article analyzes the methodology for assessing the capabilities of the medical service units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to the Strategic Defense Bulletin of Ukraine, the purpose of defense reform in Ukraine is the acquisition and maintenance by the defense forces of the required combat readiness level and ability to fulfill the tasks of defense of the state (defense capabilities), effective response to emerging military threats and military-political challenges to national security, the level of interoperability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with units of the armed forces of NATO member states and the EU to fulfill common tasks in international peacekeeping and security operations. Purpose of the study. Conduct a scientific analysis of world and domestic sources of information on modern views on the organization and conduct of defense planning activities and assessing the capabilities of the medical service in the armed forces of the leading countries of the world. Research methods are descriptive, biblio-semantic, statistical, system analysis, conceptual modeling for the analysis and synthesis of defense planning data based on the capabilities and assessment of the capabilities of the armed forces medical service. The scientific novelty lies in the analysis and justification of the direction of further research to improve the metho-dology for assessing the capabilities of the medical service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Провести научный анализ мировых и отечественных источников информации по соответствию их содержания современным взглядам на организацию и проведение мероприятий оборонного планирования и оценивания возможностей медицинской службы в вооруженных силах ведущих стран мира. Методы исследования: описательный, библиосемантический, статистический, системного анализа, концептуального моделирования для анализа и синтеза данных в обоборонном планировании на основе возможностей и их оценки в работе медицинской службы вооруженных сил. Научная новизна заключается в анализе и обосновании направления дальнейших исследований по совершенствованию методологии оценки возможностей медицинской службы Вооруженных Сил Украины. Выводы: оборонное планирование, базирующееся на основе их реальных возможностей, является современным этапом развития системы стратегического планирования. The article analyzes the methodology for assessing the capabilities of the medical service units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to the Strategic Defense Bulletin of Ukraine, the purpose of defense reform in Ukraine is the acquisition and maintenance by the defense forces of the required combat readiness level and ability to fulfill the tasks of defense of the state (defense capabilities), effective response to emerging military threats and military-political challenges to national security, the level of interoperability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with units of the armed forces of NATO member states and the EU to fulfill common tasks in international peacekeeping and security operations. Purpose of the study. Conduct a scientific analysis of world and domestic sources of information on modern views on the organization and conduct of defense planning activities and assessing the capabilities of the medical service in the armed forces of the leading countries of the world. Research methods are descriptive, biblio-semantic, statistical, system analysis, conceptual modeling for the analysis and synthesis of defense planning data based on the capabilities and assessment of the capabilities of the armed forces medical service. The scientific novelty lies in the analysis and justification of the direction of further research to improve the metho-dology for assessing the capabilities of the medical service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Conclusions: Capability-based defense planning is the next stage in the development of the strategic planning system, which greatly improves the quality of planning, enhances the ability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to perform its intended tasks, in particular, introduces a mechanism for identifying and correcting risks. The directions of improvement of the methodology for assessing the capabilities of the medical service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are analyzed. The identification of risks occurs through an assessment of opportunities, but the process requires development and adaptation.
