--- One of the great present challenges constitutess the knowledge of the new generations. The world of the values of the young people is, for many reasons, very not know. The thought of the young people with respect to the society in whom they live and the coexistence with other cultures turns out to be a question. But a question on wich we wished and we needed to have information. We wished it because the young people are one of the most important parts of our social structure and we needed it because, without that knowledge, it is difficult to plan the own future on the bases of a democratic coexistence.
According to the World Health Organization (2018), gender-based violence is a global phenomenon that affects more than a quarter of women around the world. Despite the promulgation of a multitude of regulations against gender-based violence, it is estimated that more than 40% of women who suffer violence do not report it (ONU, 1979, 2017; Unión Africana, 2005). This study aims to identify and encourage strategies to counter gender-based violence in Indigenous women od Lamu, Kenya. In this work, we adopt the social justice perspective developed by Young (1990) to ask how the gender-based violence legislative reforms of the last few years in Kenya have affected indigenous women, what resilience strategies they have developed, and whether these strategies could be integrated into institutional actions. To this end, a field study was developed in Lamu (Kenya), where we conducted in-depth interviews with indigenous women and key agents. We concluded by establishing a relationship between the lack of female participation and the barriers that still exist in gender-based violence administration that silence and revictimize indigenous women (Maqueda, 2008). We also emphasize the importance of rejecting the passive image of women and incorporating the resilience strategies they have developed in education and work (Salvador, 2015; Piotti, 2015; Hambry, 2005).
This project assesses the degree of implementation of the legislative reforms on Gender Violence and especially regarding the practice of Female Genital Mutilation in Kenya today and the resilience strategies of indigenous women. with the aim of recovering the subaltern voices (Spivak, 1992). The research is started by means of a normative review and a pilot study in the field where different interviews are carried out with indigenous women and semi-structured interviews with key agents linked to cooperation project and within the institutional process to the gender violence. Among the conclusions, it is identified how the prohibition of female mutilation has brought positive, but also negative, consequences, such as the increased risk to the health of minors who are still being practiced this mutilation.
; Violence against women is a global problem that prevents reaching gender equality. Indigenous women suffer these violence, crossed with others due to their ethnicity, religion or socio-cultural level. Faced with them, they create resilience strategies that have been made invisible and must be put into value. The present communication addresses part of the results of a research project whose objectives are to identify the barriers still existing in the institutional process in the face of the Machos Violence, picking up the role played by ethnic, cultural or religious differences and the resilience strategies of the indigenous women in front of the Violence with the objective of recovering what Spivak (1992) calls the subaltern voices. But for the achievement of the objectives a qualitative research is carried out in the context of Kenya through in-depth interviews with indigenous women participating in a fair trade NGO and semi-structured interviews with key agents to analyze economic empowerment and of these women, as well as the institutional response to the Machos Violence. Based on an analysis of current legislation and national and international indicators that show abysmal violence data, such as that 39% of married women report having suffered physical violence by their partners (The National Bureau of Statistics, 2015). One of the conclusions offered by this research is that cultural and religious norms often occupy a hierarchical place superior to legal norms and this limits the possibilities of resorting to the institutional process, added to the institutional violence and the economic barriers to access a real justice. Similarly, with respect to economic empowerment, a change in the mentality of women is detected when not only economic independence is provided, but a real possibility of social empowerment.
The growing arrival of the migrant population in the European context has become one of the central axes of debate at a political and social level, given the repercussion that this reality has on the societies of origin, transit and destination. Women represent approximately half of this population, and this phenomenon must be addressed from a gender perspective. In this context, the project Voices of Immigrant Women (VIW) (2020-1-ES01-KA203-082364) arises, whose purpose is to address from the sicio-educational field the important challenge that female migration represents in Europe. This article aims to contextualize the VIW project; to show its current state and the methodological design, as well as to present some of the results obtained during the field work carried out in Spain. The method used has been the Multiple Case Study, through the implementation of a mixed approach methodology, applying a great diversity of techniques. Among the results presented, the legal, health, sociocultural, educational, labor/economic spheres have been analyzed and how these influence the integration process of migrant women residing in Spain. It concludes by reflecting the importance of training the different agents involved in the integration process of migrant women to ensure adequate management and attention to migration.

This article presents research from a gender perspective, combining elements of a strategy important as education and migration.
