A análise da situação da infância em risco em Portugal caracteriza-se por um conjunto de avanços, impasses e retrocessos, na afirmação dos direitos da criança e na edificação de condições de bem-estar social para esta categoria social de tipo geracional. Através de um quadro teórico ancorado na sociologia da infância, este artigo tem como objetivo analisar os indicadores plasmados nos relatórios da Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Crianças e Jovens em Risco, em 2000 e em 2010. Propõe-se, assim, a partir de uma análise qualitativa e crítica, compreender as tensões e as ambiguidades que caracterizam a infância das crianças na sociedade portuguesa, em situação de risco, e os contornos que ele foi assumindo no período em análise.

A sociologia da infância é uma disciplina que em Portugal tem duas décadas de existência, desde o surgimento do primeiro trabalho que se reivindica desta área científica. Enquanto disciplina das ciências sociais não deixa de refletir as especificidades da formação social onde radica, bem como a da língua em que maioritariamente se expressa. Apesar da sua forte articulação com a sociologia da infância de outros universos linguísticos, o trabalho teórico de duas décadas não deixa de ser marcado por especificidades temáticas, teóricas e metodológicas. Mais do que fazer um balanço do trabalho no campo ou proceder ao levantamento das suas produções, este artigo preocupa-se em sinalizar as "figuras de criança", isto é, os constructos através dos quais são pensadas as crianças, os quais emanam da produção teórica e se articulam com a produção normativa sobre as crianças, com incidência na construção das políticas públicas e nas práticas sociais e profissionais.

The consequences that arose from the 'global economy' have been significant in Portuguese children's lives and we believe it is fundamental to reflect about the ongoing structuring of childhood through this global culture/ideology and the concrete implications that they have. Is also important to understand how childhood is constructed and experienced, but also to consider the impacts of political economic conditions on children's lives and in childhood in general taking into account the effects brought by public policies. The aim of this paper is to reflect on the ways through which the economic crisis affecting general Portuguese population has impacted in children in particular and promote discrimination and lack of opportunities in childhood. We will focus on two dimensions: first on general data about the ongoing policies that have been reducing social rights, increasing poverty rates and threatening basic rights such as educational and health rights, trying to show their impact on children´s lives. In the actual conditions of modernity, the complex, tense and intrinsically contradictory process of the social globalization is developed in the educative field in peculiar way, configuring the public education of masses as a field of constraints and possibilities, in some levels. The tension between the constraints and the possibilities is inherent to the ruled or emancipatory orientation promoted by the hegemonic globalization or by the anti hegemonic globalization, respectively. The inherent contradictions to the structuration of the educative public space express in "long term" e in the construction of the concrete educative politics. The expansion of the public school of masses, its extension and widening and the construction of a universal model of configuration of the educative institutions, curricula pertaining to school and practical and dynamic the pedagogical ones constitute the essential aspect of the globalization in "long term". The promotion of educational rights and its universalization, the generalization of the access to education, without restrictions of classes, race, gender, ethnic, geographic space or "disability", still that not total carried through, it suffered progresses you designated. This open access book presents the final findings from the case studies developed within the Horizon 2020 SMOOTH project Educational Spaces. Passing through Enclosures and Reversing Inequalities through Educational Commons. The overall objective of the project was to understand, develop, and accelerate the potential impact of education on reversing inequalities for active social inclusion of children and young people at risk in Europe, through introducing the emergent paradigm of the "commons" as an alternative value and action system in the field of education (preschools, schools, and after-school programs). SMOOTH critically draws out the implications of the commons for refiguring education and for social change in general, on a footing of equality, sharing, participation, togetherness, caring, and freedom. Universities, research laboratories, municipalities, NGOs, museums, and youth organizations, in different European countries, have worked together to achieve the aboveaim involving almost 200 educators and teachers, and 800 children, and providing interesting insights and suggestions on how to implement educational commons in many different educational contexts. The target audience comprises policymakers and education leaders, students from Education and Communication degrees, researchers, and educators from both formal and non-formal educational contexts.

Este trabalho apresenta os resultados parciais de uma pesquisa em andamento sobre os impactos das ações do Pibid nas escolas de Uberaba. A pesquisa tem como objetivo identificar mudanças introduzidas no cotidiano escolar a partir do desenvolvimento de atividades do Pibid, seja em relação à dinâmica de funcionamento da escola, aos comportamentos e atitudes dos sujeitos envolvidos, bem como em relação aos processos de ensinoaprendizagem e de formação continuada. A obtenção de dados está sendo realizada por meio de questionários, entrevistas e grupos focais tendo como sujeitos diretores, professores e alunos de escolas que receberam o PIBID, bem como pela análise de documentos como relatórios de atividades e outros registros que expressam as representações de coordenadores de área, professores supervisores, licenciandos e alunos das escolas sobre o programa. Neste trabalho serão apresentadas algumas reflexões construídas a partir dos dados obtidos nos questionários aplicados a diretores e professores das escolas pesquisadas.

The study of wound healing and its treatment is extremely important in veterinary medicine due to the high frequency of wounds and the difficulty in treating wounds by second intention. Thus, the objective of this study was to evaluate the use of a nanofiber membrane made of biodegradable polymers as a method of wound treatment in dogs. This study comprised two dogs with bite wounds. Debridement and cleaning was performed followed by the application of the membrane. In one dog, the wound was in the left proximal calcaneal region with clinical signs of infection, necrotic tissue, and muscle and the gastrocnemius tendon were exposed. The wound displayed rapid formation of granulation tissue which became excessive, so it was necessary to debride several times. However, with the suspension of the use of the membrane, formation of this tissue was not observed, and the wound evolved to epithelialization and fast contraction. In the second dog, there was a deep wound on the medial aspect of the proximal right hind limb, with clinical signs of infection, with muscle exposure. Once the membrane was placed, granulation tissue formed, and the membrane was used until the level of this tissue reached the skin. The wound underwent rapid epithelialization and contraction, without developing exuberant granulation tissue. Efficient wound repair was observed and the dogs exhibited greater comfort during application and use of the membrane. More studies should be conducted in dogs focusing on the application of this membrane until the appearance of healthy granulation tissue, as continued use seems to stimulate the formation of exuberant granulation tissue.
