This article analyzes the U.S. and world media obsession of the "threat posed by Iran"; further sanctions and the effects of the economic crisis; and the socio-political turmoil emanating therein. As the author reports, and the protests continue, so does the political terror from the Revolutionary Guard and the Basij. Next, the author discusses the demonstration detention and imprisonment conditions; Moussavi's plans and responses; and the impediment of Internet and satellite communications. Then the article examines the events of February 10, 2010; both comparing and contrasting against the events of 1979, when the Shah was in power; and gauging the effects on the Green movement. However, the author also states that Iran shows signs of moving toward a military dictatorship under the Revolutionary Guards. Also, the article looks at the working class response, and the future of the protests, and Iran. References. M. Diem

The article examines the Iranian working class and the effects of the June, 2009 demonstrations regarding the politics surrounding the election. The author discusses the people and events comprising the Reformists and Elections in Iran, the election system, candidates, and the elitism brought forth not only by those in the economic-political sphere, but religious as well. Also, examined by the author are the nature and events behind the protests and opposition, especially those strikes by the working class condemning the current state and policies of not only the government, but also its control on industry. The author states that even though media curbing and suppression, and the abounding of conspiracies; change is affecting and challenging the regime, reaffirming positive change can only happen from below, and from inside Iran.
