In this paper we have researched global marketing environment and trends in tourism sector. Development of tourist markets is closely linked to future improvement of globalization process. Therefore, explanation of one phenomenon is followed by the explanation of the other. National economies are more and more dependent on global economy and this is major characteristic of the globalization. Countries of the world are linked with each other in wide network of economic, social and political connections. In these conditions, international tourism has a special importance because of multiplicative effects of foreign tourists' spending.

New methods of investments decision-making require establishing a network between economic, social and ecological criteria of resources allocation. Using the consulting, which respects a situational approach in the paper, can make a balance between economic efficiency, socially responsible business and organic production standards. Development of consulting services in the field of the environment protection and organic production has been under the influence of Serbia accessing the European Union. Approaching this market imposes stricter business conditions, which reflect in tougher competition and numerous regulations in the field of the environment protection, protection of producers and consumers, etc. Previous experiences point out to a fact that some sectors represent potential winners after the EU accession. The potential winners are: tourism, transport, construction, financial services and consulting services in the field of the environment protection. Traditional processing industry needs modernization and introduction to a marketing logic. The consulting services, connected to ecology and the environment requirements are relatively new, but there considers that in the future, this segment of consulting services market, will have a greater significance.

In theory and in practice, clusters, as specific form of economic entities association, differ significantly. Theoretically defined, a cluster is often hard to recognize in practice, especially in transitional and less developed countries. There are many dilemmas in scientific and professional public about the legal form of clusters. The most frequent perplexities are regarding clusters' legal aspects issues (is it necessary or obligatorily for cluster to be registered or not?), legal forms in which it can function, internal clusters organization (authorities, rights and obligations of members, etc.). This paper will be focused at a discussion of organizational-legal aspects of clusters in the Republic of Serbia. Base for this issue analysis and drawing conclusions will be a case study (analysis of organizational-legal form of a cluster in the field of Serbian food industry), the analysis of legal documents which regulate the issues of establishment and work of clusters in the Republic of Serbia, as well as the analysis of the governmental documents in the field of clusters motivation in domestic economy.

This paper explores management consulting in Serbia, which is analysed using the factors of its development. The most important drivers of the consulting market development in Central and South-Eastern Europe are the privatization and reorganization of state enterprises, the enlargement of the EU to the eastern region and the liberalization of national markets. The main goal of the research is to determine the most important factors in the development of management consulting in Serbia. Management consulting is in fact the result of managers' need for integrated and complex business information. The basic idea of this paper was to investigate in the empirical way the influence of certain factors on the development of management consulting in Serbia. Empirical research was carried out by gathering relevant data on a sample of 150 consulting organizations in Serbia. The target group of the research is the management consultants who are included in the sample. The research by survey was conducted by telephone surveys and direct interviews. Factor analysis was used for singling out the factors that influence the development of management consulting in Serbia. Factor analysis has shown that the three most important factors in the development of management consulting in Serbia are: managerial capabilities and skills, project activities and transformation of enterprises and markets. The aim of this paper is to point out key factors in the development of management consulting in Serbia, inform economic stakeholders about the importance of management consulting and the ways how to use it.

The authors give a brief overview of the situation in the implementation of agricultural policy in Serbia. They introduce us to support measures which are an important factor for maintaining agricultural production. Serbia is obliged to harmonize its agricultural policy with the common agricultural policy of the European Union CAP. This process of harmonization needs to be done now that the Republic of Serbia has become a candidate country for EU membership. In the current economic conditions, the survival of farms is threatened. A key problem is the ownership structure of farms in Serbia, which are located in small areas of land. This also represents agreat fragmentation of land. It is necessary to carry out procedures of land consolidation and land redistribution in order to achieve agglomeration, which would result in an increase in the quantity and quality of agricultural production. At the end, the authors provide a study on the state of implementation of agrarian policy in the Nisava district. The aim of the research is to analyze the results of the use of agricultural policy measures.

The authors gave a brief overview on the situation of cooperatives in Serbia. They introduce us to the cooperative legislation which wiil be, in the current period, important factor in the development of agricultural cooperatives. Serbia is obligated to harmonize its laws with the laws of European Union. The process of harmonization should be done with the cooperative legislation, too. In the current conditions, the survival of the cooperative is threatened by transition. In the transition process it is required from agricultural cooperatives to return forcefully confiscated land to their rightful owners or their heirs. It is also necessary to return the land taken away from its members and given to the cooperatives to menage it. This process has largely been completed. Some agricultural cooperatives ceased to exist in the transition. At the end, the authors have made a study on the situation in cooperatives in Nišava district. The aim of the research is to analyze the results of the application of the concept of cooperative organization and association of farmers in the transition process.

Countries, which have problems in the field of economic relations with aboard, usually misapply basic postulates and concepts of international marketing, as modern conceptions for achieving competitive advantage on international scale. Accordingly, this paper work researches the role of international marketing in the process of raising competitiveness of the agricultural and food products. Global marketing is facing a stronger and more complex challenge that needs faster and more subtle strategic responses. Namely, it must expect rapid changes, complex strategic situations, stricter and more unpredictable competition and changing mental maps of management, especially in regard to the affirmation of social awareness about the importance of respecting the environmental, social, political, cultural, and other components of the local market. Because the tastes, needs and consumer habits differ significantly, there is also justification for market segmentation of agri-food products.
