The research identifies storytelling concepts in engineers from university professors. The research follows a qualitative approach applied to 250 participants from universities in the Norte de Santander department. The results identify three categories associated with the application of science, the function of the history of engineers and scientific production. It is concluded that participant's concept storytelling as the art of telling a story and a didactic resource associated with approaches, the development of skills, useful to analyse the development of discoveries in engineers, its actors, its application in scientific advances and its contribution to innovation and community development. The correlation between the variables reading and writing and phonological awareness is statistically significant, with a confidence of 95%, which shows that engineers who presented low scores in writing also denoted low results in phonological awareness.
this article is result of the research which main objective was analyzed factors and influence of methodology creative and nations united model in the development of abilities in communication of the students of the ninth grade. the methodology incorporates writing texts, set ups, and descriptive researches. The investigation was oriented quantitative focus with an analysis technique of multiple results factorial, identified profiles of students with character of leaders; the sample incorporated 150 students of educational institutions in Norte de Santander-Colombia. The results allow us to observe four factors associated with communicative skills: pragmatic, with the practice skills for the readings production; factor normative, belongs to etic based parameters, factor diplomatic negotiator, skill to intercede in conflicts and factor communicative in assign tasks to groups and planning. Apply the methodology denominated creative and United Nations model, developed and enhance political communications skills, democratic, of planning communicative and ethical.
The research article, aims to present the profile of the student who is admitted to programmes to remote and virtual offeringstudies Faculty at distances - Faedis, of the Nueva Granada military University - UMNG; for this study, a survey was carried out based on oneshows probabilistic active students of the first semesters, in turn, allowed to collect information about the longevity of the student, the needs,the way to select the University and observed expectations upon arrival in the UMNG. La ingenieria tradicional tiene un nuevo aliado que le es util en los nuevos diseños dinamicos y por lo tanto facilita los procesos de rediseño y disminuye los tiempos haciendo mas eficiente los procesos de ingeniería permitiendo evaluar matematicamente los cambios que se propongan y visualizar los mismos. Dengue is an infectious disease of global public health significance and is a leading cause of death. A study focusing on the aquatic phase (egg, larva and pupa) of the Aedes aegypti mosquito, with and without Wolbachia, is being conducted. A mathematical model is formulated, the results suggest that the intrinsic ovoposition rate is the parameter that most affects the non-trivial equilibrium solution. As a conclusion, it is suggested that, under certain conditions, the reproduction of Wolbachia-contaminated mosquitoes in the aquatic phase is small compared to the reproduction of wild mosquitoes, which could affect the success of the control strategy.
The Norte de Santander ceramic sector is located in six municipalities on the ColombianVenezuelan border and its market was traditionally aimed at Venezuelan customers, due to its proximity, ease of transportation and advantage in currency exchange. However, due to differences in the political and economic systems of the two countries, the border was closed in 2015 and the traditional market for the sector disappeared. The objective of this researchis to determine the forms of managerial reorganization that the ceramic sector of Norte de Santander has had, in the face of the crisis of border closure. The study method is positivist and the information was collected from 49 organizations in the sector. The main findings indicate that the organizations studied carried out managerial reorganization actions such as modifying the product portfolio, investing in other businesses related or not with the company, modifying the shape and size of the staff and restructuring the governance and operation of the company ; El sector cerámico Norte de Santander se encuentra ubicado en seis municipios en la frontera colombo venezolana y tradicionalmente su mercado estaba dirigido a clientes venezolanos, debido a su cercanía, facilidad de transporte y ventaja en el cambio de divisa. Sin embargo, por diferencias en los sistemas políticos y económicos de los dos países la frontera fue cerrada en el 2015 y el mercado tradicional del sector desapareció. El objetivo de esta investigación es determinar las formas de reorganización gerencial que ha tenido el sector cerámico de Norte de Santander, frente a la crisis de cierre de frontera. The investigation aimed to analyze the influence of physic-technological change as a factor of competitiveness in the textile and footwear industry in San José de Cúcuta, Colombia. The methodology follows a mixed approach supported by factorial, phenomenological and documentary analysis designs, using instruments such as interviews and surveys, scientific production databases and governmental and trade union reports of the sector. The physic-technological change was conceived by businessmen as a productive process, innovative, of social change, and transformation with associated factors of strategic management, culture of market planning, problem that solves, reach, control of success, materials such as systems based on silicone, polymers, panels and closed air pressure grilles, as well as improvements in sole material and use of recyclable material according to environmental policies, reduction of time of product development, marketing of the invention, resources, management of risk, productivity and competitiveness, depend on type of changes implemented or designed in companies of low, medium or high level and are associated with factor of competitiveness. It is concluded that technological change as a competitiveness factor allows maintaining or increasing market share and endogenous changes in productive and technological systems in the market.
El artículo muestra factores asociados a la deserción universitaria. La técnica de análisis de supervivencia permitió realizar el estudio con estudiantes de diferentes programas de la Universidad Francisco de Paula Santander, Cúcuta, teniendo en cuenta eventos: semestre, abandono, sanción, sanción - abandono. A través del estimador de Kaplan-Meier [1] se estimó la función de supervivencia para cada evento de interés, y, se determinaron modelos de deserción cuyas variables fuesen significativas al 10% utilizando el método semiparamétrico de Cox [2]. La verificación del test de riesgo proporcional, figuras de residuos de Schoenfeld [3] e influencia se utilizaron como herramientas estadísticas para explicar la supervivencia de estudiantes. Resultados de las funciones de supervivencia permitieron determinar que el manejo de preconceptos en ciencias (precálculo, química, física) incrementa el riesgo, deseo de estudiar otros programas, así como recibir sanción presentaron mayor tendencia al abandono, bajo puntaje en pruebas, así como pérdida de empleo de padres y uso de sustancias psicoactivas tienen mayor riesgo de retiro. Estudiantes de postgrado presentaron alto riesgo de deserción por factores socioeconómicos o no terminación de tesis; cuatro determinantes fueron identificados como razones de riesgo a través del modelo de regresión de Cox [2], factores individuales, socioeconómicos, académicos e institucionales y un factor se asoció con aptitud y actitud del maestro.Palabras clave: Deserción, Función de Supervivencia, Modelo de Cox, Universidad. AbstractThe article shows factors associated with college desertion. The survival analysis technique allowed to perform a study with students from different programs at the Francisco de Paula Santander University, considering the events: semester, abandonment, punishment, punishment - abandonment. Using the Kaplan-Meier estimator [1], the survival function for each event of interest was estimated and desertion models whose variables were significant at 10% using the semiparametric method of Cox [2] were determined. The verification test of proportional hazards, residual figures of Schoenfeld [3] and influence were used as statistics tools to explain the survival of the students. Results of the survival functions have revealed that the management of pre-concepts in science (precalculus, chemistry, physics) is a factor that increases the risk, students wishing to study other programs, as well as those who have received any punishment have greater tendency to abandonment. Lower scores on tests and no pre-concepts management, as well as loss of employment of parents and psychoactive substance use are at greater risk of abandonment. Graduate students show high risk of desertion due to socioeconomic factors or non-completion of thesis; four determinants were identified as risk ratios through the Cox regression model [2], individual factors, socioeconomic factors, academic factors and institutional factors and a factor determined from perceptions associated with aptitude and attitude of the teacher.Keywords: Desertion, Survival Function, Model Cox, University. Resumo O artigo mostra fatores associados à deserção universitária. A técnica de análise de supervivência permitiu realizar o estudo com alunos de diferentes cursos de graduação e pós-graduação da Universidad Francisco de Paula Santander -UFPS, Câmpus Cúcuta, tendo em conta: semestre, deserção, sanção, sanção - deserção. Através do estimador de Kaplan-Meier [1] foi estimada a função de supervivência para cada evento de interesse, e determinaram-se modelos de deserção cujas variáveis fossem significativas ao 10%, utilizando o método semi-paramétrico de Cox [2]. A verificação do teste de risco proporcional, figuras de resíduos de Schoenfeld [3] e influencia foram utilizadas como ferramentas estatísticas para explicar a supervivência de alunos. Resultados das funções de supervivência permitiram determinar que o manejo de pré-conceitos em ciências (pré- cálculo, química e física) incrementa o risco, desejo de estudar outros programas, assim como, receber sanção; apresentam maior tendência à deserção, baixa pontuação em probas, assim como perdida de emprego de padres e uso de sustâncias psicoativas tem maior risco de retiro do curso. Alunos de pós-graduação apresentam alto risco de deserção por fatores socioeconómicos ou dificuldades para a terminação da dissertação de mestrado. Quatro fatores foram identificados como razões de risco através do modelo de regressão de Cox [2]: fatores individuais, socioeconómicos, académicos e institucionais e um último fator associado com aptidão e atitude do professor.Palavras-chave: Deserção, Função de Supervivência, Modelo de Cox, Universidade.

The study of emotions using storydoing, constituted as the main factor in the learning of calculus in engineering, constitutes the main objective of the research, executed under the qualitative approach and the phenomenological method in order to deepen in the answers expressed by the adolescents of an educational institution. The article, based on a quantitative study, analyzes how the process of learning calculus takes place in the emotional, thought and feeling responses from the perspective of the students, who are directly benefited or affected by this situation. The sample consists of 111 university students from the first to the fourth semester. Emerging conceptual categories were friendship, role, learning innovation, emotion, feeling, environment, family support. Citizen competences as a transversal axis in education in Colombia have had a characteristic development within the pedagogical practices in the different educational levels. The purpose of the research was to understand the pedagogical practices and the social representations that emerge in the classroom and outside of it by teachers and university students belonging to the Inga tribe, around the development of Citizen Competencies. The research is part of the qualitative approach based on the hermeneutical ethnographic method, a valid tool for understanding the meanings given in a historical moment. Emerging categories are framed within the scope of the Citizen Competencies standards,coexistence and peace; participation and democratic responsibility and plurality, identity and assessment of differences, likewise, categories emerge in housing, roles in communication, work. Conclusion: education for life, the preservation of health and nature, is an emerging family associated with coexistence, communication, the transfer of knowledge and society in interaction with students of the Inga tribe. ; La integración social e inclusión como eje transversal en la educación en Colombia han tenido un desarrollo característico dentro de las prácticas pedagógicas en los distintos niveles educativos. La investigación tuvo como propósito llegar a la comprensión de las prácticas pedagógicas y las representaciones sociales que emergen en el aula y fuera de ella por docentes y estudiantes universitarios pertenecientes a la tribu Inga, en torno al desarrollo de las Competencias Ciudadanas. La investigación se enmarca en el enfoque cualitativo sustentada en el método etnográfico hermenéutico, herramienta válida para la comprensión de los significados dados en un momento histórico. Categorías emergentes se enmarcan en convivencia y paz; participación y responsabilidad democrática y pluralidad, identidad y valoración de las diferencias, así mismo emergen categorías en vivienda, roles en la comunicación, trabajo. A pesquisa faz parte da abordagem qualitativa baseada no método etnográfico hermenêutico, uma ferramenta válida para a compreensão dos significados dados em um momento histórico. The media represent, together with education, one of the forces of change of the universal society. The recent years have imposed modalities and technologies that raise their influence, instantaneity and geographic penetration or reach, to turn them into fundamental axis. That media power is conceived, although it is not a current reality for now, as a valuable tool to strengthen the educational process, through the production of news, reports, interviews, spaces, documentaries and programs that reinforce teaching originated in the classroom; that revalue the importance and validity of the training process; and strengthen the values of both nationality and individual personality; and taking into account that ninety percent of Venezuelan households have television sets and eighty four percent of radio receivers. The two areas are detailed in their origin and as processes, to make their importance sit down. The particular media situation is analyzed in the Municipality of Zea, Mérida State, where there are two radio stations and one television station, in addition to primary, secondary and higher schools. Teachers with management positions, media directors and producers are the key informants. It is located within the qualitative paradigm and the ethnographic method. The information was analyzed by means of triangulation and interpretation based on the design of Bahamonde and carried out in two moments, the first with the double entry Alpha Matrix that gave the synthesis of the relevant social phenomenon, expressed in graphic one. The second, with the Beta Matrix generating the theoretical Projection expressed in Graph two. All with the aim of generating the epistemological conception of the role of the media embodied in the conclusions and contributions of the research. ; Los medios de comunicación representan, junto a la educación, una de las fuerzas de cambio de la sociedad universal. Los años recientes han impuesto modalidades y tecnologías que elevan su influencia, instantaneidad y penetración geográfica o alcance, para convertirlos en eje fundamental. Ese poder mediático es concebido, aunque no es realidad vigente por ahora, como una herramienta valiosa para fortalecer el proceso educativo, mediante la producción de noticias, reportajes, entrevistas, espacios, documentales y programas que refuercen la enseñanza originada en el aula de clase; que revaloricen la importancia y validez del proceso formativo; y fortalezcan los valores, tanto de la nacionalidad como de la personalidad individual; y tomando en cuenta que en el noventa por ciento de los hogares venezolanos hay aparatos de televisión y en el ochenta y cuatro por ciento de receptores de radio. Las dos áreas son detalladas en su origen y como procesos, para dejar sentada su importancia. Se analiza la particular situación mediática en el Municipio Zea, Estado Mérida, donde existen dos emisoras radiales y una televisora, además de planteles de primaria, secundaria y superior. Docentes con cargos directivos, directores de medios y productores son los informantes clave. Se ubica dentro del paradigma cualitativo y el método etnográfico. Se analizó la información, mediante la triangulación e interpretación basadas en el diseño de Bahamonde y realizadas en dos momentos el primero con la Matriz Alfa de doble entrada que arrojó la síntesis del fenómeno social relevante, expresada en gráfico uno. El segundo, con la Matriz Beta generando la Proyección teórica expresada en el Gráfico dos. Todo con el objetivo de generar la concepción epistemológica del rol de los medios de comunicación plasmado en las conclusiones y aportes de la investigación. ; A mídia representa, junto com a educação, uma das forças de mudança da sociedade universal. Os últimos anos impuseram modalidades e tecnologias que elevam sua influência, instantaneidade e penetração ou alcance geográfico, para transformá-las em eixo fundamental. Que o poder da mídia é concebida, embora não realmente em vigor para agora, como uma ferramenta valiosa para fortalecer o processo educacional, através da produção de notícias, reportagens, entrevistas, espaços, documentários e programas que fortalecem o ensino se originou na sala de aula; que revalorizam a importância e a validade do processo de treinamento; e fortalecer os valores da nacionalidade e da personalidade individual; e tendo em conta que noventa por cento dos lares venezuelanos têm televisores e oitenta e quatro por cento dos receptores de rádio. El presente artículo se enmarca en una investigación con enfoque mixto, desde el enfoque cualitativo con métodos de etnometodología y teoría fundamentada desde lo deductivo racionalista, nivel explicativo, con apoyo en una investigación de campo, de naturaleza cuantitativa, técnica de análisis factorial confirmatorio. El objetivo de la propuesta fue identificar factores que inciden al implementar la consejería académica y de investigación en el fomento de la convivencia, dirigida a estudiantes universitarios e identificar percepciones de docentes desde la perspectiva de la investigación. La población la constituyen 25 docentes con doctorado en el Departamento Norte de Santander y directivos de instituciones de educación superior. La entrevista, encuesta y análisis documental se utilizaron como instrumentos. Resultados: Factores económico, motivacionales, sicológicos, políticos, de carga académica, afectan la conciliación, empatía, labor investigativa y de asesoría académica de profesionales con doctorado en las universidades. Conclusión: la Consejería académica y de investigación, mejora la interacción social, convivencia, formación investigativa de la comunidad académica, brinda espacios de desarrollo de investigación de profesionales con doctorado. ; This article is part of a research with a mixed approach, from the qualitative approach with methods of ethnomethodology and theory based on the deductive rationalist, explanatory level, with support in a field research, quantitative nature, confirmatory factorial analysis technique. The objective of the proposal was to identify factors that influence the implementation of academic and research counseling in the promotion of coexistence, aimed at university students and to identify perceptions of teachers from the perspective of research. The population consists of 25 teachers with doctorates in the Department of Norte de Santander and executives of institutions of higher education. The interview, survey and documentary analysis were used as instruments. Results: Economic, motivational, psychological and political factor and academic load affect the conciliation, empathy, research and academic advisory of professionals with doctorate in universities. Conclusion: Academic and research counseling improves social interaction, coexistence, research training of the academic community, provides opportunities for research development of professionals with doctorates. ; O presente artigo faz parte de uma pesquisa de abordagem mista, da abordagem qualitativa com métodos de etnometodologia e teoria baseada no nível dedutivo e explicativo racionalista, com suporte em uma pesquisa de campo quantitativa, técnica de análise de fator confirmatório.
