Sağlık teknikerliği, ülkemizdeki sağlık hizmetlerinin sunumunda oldukça önemlidir. Ancak sağlık teknikerleri bu unvana sahip olduktan sonra bazı fiziksel ve psikolojik sıkıntılar yaşayabilmekte ve bu da mesleği bırakma eğilimini artırmaktadır. Diğer taraftan, psikolojik sağlamlık ve meslek seçimi arasındaki ilişkileri inceleyen fazla çalışma bulunmamaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, geleceğin sağlık teknikerlerinin meslek seçimlerinde, kişiliklerinin ve psikolojik sağlamlıklarının etkisini araştırmaktır. Araştırmaya, Ankara'daki bir devlet üniversitesinin sağlık hizmetleri meslek yüksekokulunda öğrenim gören 465 sağlık teknikeri adayı katılmıştır. Verilerin toplanmasında "On-Maddeli Kişilik Ölçeği", "Kısa Psikolojik Sağlamlık Ölçeği" ve "Sağlık Teknikerliğinde Meslek Seçimi Ölçeği" kullanılmıştır. Sağlık teknikerliği mesleğinin seçiminde etkili olan faktörleri ortaya çıkarmak için basit doğrusal regresyon analizi uygulanmıştır. Kişilik ölçeğine ilişkin analiz bulgularına bakıldığında, sağlık teknikerliği öğrencilerinin daha az stresli ve daha az kaygılı bireyler oldukları tespit edilmiştir. Stres, kaygı, depresyon gibi psikolojik sorunlarla başa çıkabilme eğilimini temsil eden psikolojik sağlamlıklarının ise düşük olduğu görülmüştür. Diğer taraftan öğrenciler sağlık teknikerliği mesleğini, ilgi alanlarına ve yeteneklerine uygun bulmaktadırlar. Sağlık teknikerliği öğrencilerinin kişilik özellikleri, psikolojik sağlamlıkları ve mesleği seçme eğilimleri arasındaki ilişkilere bakıldığında ise kişilik alt boyutlarından dışadönüklük ve uyumluluk boyutlarının, meslek seçiminde pozitif anlamlı etkiye sahip olduğu, diğer taraftan psikolojik sağlamlığın, meslek seçiminde negatif anlamlı etkisinin olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Dışadönük, uyumlu, fakat düşük psikolojik sağlamlığa sahip bireylerin sağlık teknikerliği mesleğini tercih ettikleri belirlenmiştir.

INTRODUCTION: Patient examinations performed in a limited time period may lead to impairment in patient and physician relationship, defective and erroneous diagnosis, inappropriate prescriptions, less common use of preventive medicine practices, poor patient satisfaction, and increased violent acts against health-care staff. OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to determine the appropriate minimal duration of patient examination in the pulmonary practice. METHODS: A total of 49 researchers from ten different study groups of the Turkish Thoracic Society participated in the study. The researchers were asked to examine patients in an almost ideal manner, without time constraint under available conditions. RESULTS: A total of 1680 patient examinations were reviewed. The mean duration of patient examination in ideal conditions was determined to be 20.4 ± 9.6 min. Among all steps of patient examination, the longest time was spent for "taking medical history." The total time spent for patient examination was statistically significantly longer in the university hospitals than in the governmental hospitals and training and research hospitals (P < 0.001). Among different patient categories, the patients with a chronic disorder presenting for the first time and were referred from primary or secondary to tertiary care for further evaluation have required the longest time for patient examination. CONCLUSION: According to our study, the appropriate minimal duration for patient examination is 20 min. It has been observed that in university hospitals and in patients with chronic pulmonary diseases, this duration has been increased to above 25 min. The durations in clinical practice should be planned accordingly.

Chronic respiratory diseases (CRDs) are major non-communicable diseases (NCDs) that induce a significant burden. Asthma often occurs along the life cycle from early childhood, affecting 30 million children and adults under 45 years of age in Europe. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) has an estimated annual death rate of over 3 million people globally. The annual direct and indirect costs in the 28 European Union (EU) countries due to COPD or asthma are estimated at 48 billion euros and 34 billion euros respectively. Rhinitis occurs in over 100 million people in Europe, and indirect costs are enormous. Asthma is a common risk factor for COPD. CRDs impact ageing and should be prevented, recognised and managed across the life cycle to promote active and healthy ageing (AHA). There is an urgent need to act globally. European Innovation Partnerships (EIPs) aim to enhance EU competitiveness and tackle societal challenges through research and innovation. To tackle the potential of ageing in the EU, the European Commission, within its Innovation Union policy, launched the EIP on AHA (between the Directorate General for Health and Food Safety (DG Santé) and Directorate General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology (DG CONNECT)). The B3 Action Plan promotes integrated care models for chronic diseases, including the use of remote monitoring. The initiative AIRWAYS-ICPs (integrated care pathways for airway diseases) has been approved by the EIP on AHA as the model of chronic diseases of the B3 Action Plan. It is a Research Demonstration Project of the World Health Organization's Global Alliance against Chronic Respiratory Diseases (GARD). Background: The Nature Step to Respiratory Health was the overarching theme of the 12th General Meeting of the Global Alliance against Chronic Respiratory Diseases (GARD) in Helsinki, August 2018. New approaches are needed to improve respiratory health and reduce premature mortality of chronic diseases by 30% till 2030 (UN Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs). Planetary health is defined as the health of human civilization and the state of the natural systems on which it depends. Planetary health and human health are interconnected, and both need to be considered by individuals and governments while addressing several SDGs. Results: The concept of the Nature Step has evolved from innovative research indicating, how changed lifestyle in urban surroundings reduces contact with biodiverse environments, impoverishes microbiota, affects immune regulation and increases risk of NCDs. The Nature Step calls for strengthening connections to nature. Physical activity in natural environments should be promoted, use of fresh vegetables, fruits and water increased, and consumption of sugary drinks, tobacco and alcohol restricted. Nature relatedness should be part of everyday life and especially emphasized in the care of children and the elderly. Taking "nature" to modern cities in a controlled way is possible but a challenge for urban planning, nature conservation, housing, traffic arrangements, energy production, and importantly for supplying and distributing food. Actions against the well-known respiratory risk factors, air pollution and smoking, should be taken simultaneously. Conclusions: In Finland and elsewhere in Europe, successful programmes have been implemented to reduce the burden of respiratory disorders and other NCDs. Unhealthy behaviour can be changed by well-coordinated actions involving all stakeholders. The growing public health concern caused by NCDs in urban surroundings cannot be solved by health care alone; a multidisciplinary approach is mandatory. ; Peer reviewed

A short summary was proposed for each item and 18 experts, all~members of ARIA and SUNFRAIL from 12 countries, assessed the 28 items using a Survey Monkey-based questionnaire. A visual analogue scale (VAS) from 0 (strongly disagree) to 100 (strongly agree) was used. Agreement equal or over 75% was observed for 14 items (50%). MASK is following the JA-CHRODIS recommendations for the evaluation of Good Practices.

In all societies, the burden and cost of allergic and chronic respiratory diseases are increasing rapidly. Most economies are struggling to deliver modern health care effectively. There is a need to support the transformation of the health care system for integrated care with organizational health literacy. MASK (Mobile Airways Sentinel NetworK) (1), a new development of the ARIA (Allergic Rhinitis and its Impact on Asthma) initiative, and POLLAR (Impact of Air POLLution on Asthma and Rhinitis, EIT Health) (2), in collaboration with professional and patient organizations in the field of allergy and airway diseases, are proposing reallife integrated care pathways (ICPs) (3)-centred around the patient with rhinitis and using mHealth monitoring of environmental exposure (4). An expert meeting took place at the Pasteur Institute in Paris, December 3, 2018. The aim was to discuss nextgeneration care pathways: (I) Patient participation, health literacy and self-care through technology-assisted "patient activation"; (II) Implementation of care pathways by pharmacists and (III) Next-generation guidelines assessing the recommendations of GRADE guidelines in rhinitis and asthma using real-world evidence (RWE) assessed by mobile technology. The EU (5) and global political agendas are of great importance in supporting health care transformation. MASK has been recognized by DG Santé as a Good Practice (6) in the field of digitally-enabled, integrated, person-centred care. The one-day meeting objectives were clear (Figure 1).
