The aim of this thesis is to discover the association between geographical mobility and labour markets outcomes of Italian early graduates. Even if is an argument widely trated in literature, I'll try to investigate the evolution of the \Brain Drain" process in light of recents event: the nancial crisis of 2007-2008 and the cut back in higher education. Migration decisions are closely related to degree of social mobilty in a country, especially where there are strong interregionals dierences as in Italy where, analyse migration path evolution of human capital might be very useful to policy makers intent to reduce regional gaps and improve the \equality of opportunity" level. Take into account migration endogeneity, the results suggest a positive eect of spatial mobility on economic performance with dierences according to movement trajectories. However some limits, due also to the lack of adequate data, indicate that further researchs are necessary in order to identify a causal relation. The thesis is strutured as follows: the rst chapter explains push and pull factros related to migration and the connection with social mobility, wage inequality and regional development. The chapter two presents an estimation of the return to geographical mobility of early graduates wages while the third chapter present the estimation of return from geographical mobility in terms of employment condition using a dataset summarizing information coming from three dierent sources: Almalaurea, Infostud and Ministry of Labor.

il progetto di ricerca tenta di evidenziare l'andamento delle entrate e delle spese attraverso l'analisi dei bilanci dei Comuni italiani alla luce dei recenti processi di federalismo fiscale, di riforma della contabilità pubblica e dell'evoluzione dei vincoli posti dal Patto di Stabilità Interno. Facendo riferimento ai dati ISTAT e del Ministero dell'Interno l'analisi dei dati si è svolta su due livelli: prima con l'analisi dei bilanci comunali aggregati per Regione; successivamente si è utilizzato un campione di 12 Comuni per poter individuare gli andamenti degli investimenti e delle relative fonti di finanziamento. Il risultato fondamentale messo in evidenza è la consistente diminuzione degli investimenti. Si sono analizzate le possibili motivazioni riferite alla diminuzione di questa voce di bilancio, cercando di individuare con un analisi giuridica ed economica le fonti di finanziamento degli investimenti maggiormente sfruttate dai Comuni campionati e cercando di isolare i vincoli dettati dalla normativa nazionale e comunitaria che hanno portato all'utilizzo di partenariati pubblico-privato come soluzione alla carenza di adeguate risorse per stimolare politiche di investimento.Alla fine si è preso in considerazione il Comune di Modena per svolgere alcune osservazione conclusive (arricchite dal contributo di un dirigente delle politiche finanziarie e patrimoniali) sugli andamenti degli investimenti, sulle principali scelte gestionali adottate e su quali potrebbero essere altre possibili soluzioni per riequilibrare il trade off tra carenze di risorse e necessità di investimento per lo sviluppo del territorio locale.

BACKGROUND: Anxiety, depression and reduction of quality of life (QoL) are common in people with multiple sclerosis (pwMS). Fear of getting sick from COVID-19, government's lockdown and the imposed social distancing might have had an impact on psychological distress and QoL. OBJECTIVES: The aim of our study was to investigate anxiety, depression and QoL changes in pwMS during SARS-CoV-2 outbreak and lockdown in Italy. METHODS: 67 pwMS with a previous (less than 6 months) neuropsychological evaluation before SARS-CoV-2 outbreak (T0) were re-evaluated at the time of the outbreak and lockdown in Italy (T1). They underwent a clinical and neurological evaluation and completed the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI-Y1), the Beck Depression Inventory second edition (BDI-II), and Multiple Sclerosis Quality of Life-54 (MsQoL-54) at T0 and T1. Benjamini–Hochberg procedure was applied to control the false discovery rate. RESULTS: BDI-II and STAI-Y1 scores did not change between T0 and T1. At T1, MsQoL-54 scores were higher on the satisfaction with sexual life and the social function subscales, and lower on the limitation due to emotional problems subscale. CONCLUSIONS: This is the first study that evaluated mood and QoL levels before and during the lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic in pwMS. No worsening of anxiety and depression levels was found. Contrariwise some improvements were noted on QoL, the most reliable regarding the sexual satisfaction and the social function.
