This article provides an overview of Women History's paths in Chilean and Argentine academies. The starting point is the politized present marked by feminist movements' demands that were expressed in Buenos Aires and Santiago on 8 March 2019. From that point on, the text traces Women's History from its beginning to the present by focusing on main perspectives - from contributory history to gender studies - and by pointing to their contribution and downsides. Finally, the study reflects on the dangers of trivialisation that threatens historiography nowadays. ; Este escrito repasa de manera general los derroteros de la Historia de las Mujeres en las academias argentina y chilena. Desde un presente politizado por las demandas de los movimientos feministas que se expresaron el 8 de marzo de 2019 tanto en Buenos Aires como en Santiago, se realiza un recorrido desde los inicios de la Historia de las Mujeres hasta el presente. Así se presentan sus principales versiones, desde la historia contributiva hasta la incorporación de los estudios de género y se indican los aportes y los límites de cada una de ellas. The starting point is the versions of the widely disseminated myth of the mellizo registered among the guaranes of Calilegua (Jujuy, Argentina), I propose to analyse their historical and political implications in the light of some of the contributions of ontological turmoil. The narrative of the mellizo allows the guaranes with whom they work to reflect on their origins and to think about history as an ancestral people who expanded into the Americas in mythical times. Far from abstraction, this myth implies a historical and political position against the narratives stigmatising Jujuy's guaranes as foreigners and calling into question their ancestrality in the territory. Taking indigenous mythology seriously leads to no longer establishing the truth or forgery of certain native stories and stories or whether or not they coincide with histography, but points to the political project of pluralising history. ; Tomando como punto de partida versiones del ampliamente difundido mito de los mellizos registradas entre los guaraníes de Calilegua (Jujuy, Argentina), me propongo analizar sus implicancias histórico-políticas a la luz de algunos de los aportes del giro ontológico. El relato de los mellizos les permite a los guaraníes con quienes trabajo reflexionar sobre su origen y pensarse en la historia como pueblo ancestral que en tiempos míticos se expandió por el continente americano. Lejos de una abstracción, este mito implica un posicionamiento histórico y político frente a los discursos que estigmatizan a los guaraníes de Jujuy como "extranjeros" y ponen en tela de juicio su ancestralidad en el territorio. Tomar en serio la mitología indígena conduce ya no a determinar la verdad o falsedad de ciertos relatos e historias nativos o la coincidencia o no con la historiografía, sino que apunta al proyecto político de pluralizar la historia.

This Symposium on 'Teaching IR Globally' engages with and contributes to the current debate on non-Western and alternative analyses and the question of the inevitability of perspectivity in the field of IR and the study of global politics. This Symposium is unique in that it specifically addresses not how to undertake effective research on or in global IR, but rather how to teach IR globally to students at the undergraduate and post-graduate levels. In this group of contributions, Meera Sabaratnam and Kerem Nişancıoğlu present a syllabus that challenges final-year undergraduate students to link the racial history of International Relations, the wave of political decolonizations in Asia and Africa in the twentieth century, and current decolonisation struggles in theory and practice. In a presentation of a core course for an international Master's Degree, Martin Weber shows how to work with and against the '-isms' that usually organize the field of IR by staging thematic juxtapositions of familiar classics with texts usually relegated to the catch-all category 'other approaches.'

The article demonstrates how Library of Congress Subject Headings (LCSH) geographic headings for the Southern Levant mirror the political investment of Congress and the American public in Middle East politics over the last thirty years. The headings' evolution as well as Library of Congress rules governing their creation is charted in detail. These LCSH headings contrast markedly with those established in other national libraries (BnF, DNB) and independent value vocabularies (TGN, GeoNames), and global opinion regarding the legal status of the occupied territories. I sketch the historical context of their formation and offer suggestions as to how libraries can "decolonize" their metadata in service of Sanford Berman's "access and equity."

In 2001, early international involvement had prevented the armed confrontation from turning into a full scale civil war. But the Ohrid Framework agreement (FA) that successfully put an end to violence on August 13, 2001, entailed major constitutional and institutional changes designed to redress what was perceived as imbalances between the ethnic Macedonian majority and the Albanian community (.).

body in computer culture, computer virus, hacker, HIV/AIDS activism, virality International audience Analysing both mainstream and underground computer-related press sources from 1982 to 1991, a discursive core is displayed revolving around contamination and sexually transmissible diseases. The "computer virus" metaphor, popularized in that period, came to resonate with mounting moral panic over the HIV/AIDS epidemic. These anxieties about the body are then conceptualized (and historically contextualized) along two dimensions : 1) the political proximity between HIV/AIDS activists and computer hackers during the FDA clinical trials controversy of 1987-88 ; 2) the ideological reinforcement provided by academic progressive elements to these political actions.

Summary: The work reconstructs the history of San Antonio's finances, which is located in the municipality of Comala, 30 km north of Colima in the west of Mexico. Since the end of the 19th century, it has been owned by three foreigners resident in the country: a German hacker, a Bolivian businessman and a French-English financier. The treasury is located in the El Jabalí Forest and Refugee Protection Area. The work describes its history with a methodology based on research into primary sources to finally address the political controversy surrounding the participation of private foreign capital in this protected natural area of Mexico. ; Resumen: El trabajo reconstruye la historia de la hacienda de San Antonio, propiedad situada en el municipio de Comala, a 30 km al norte de Colima, en el occidente de México. Resumen En este artículo nos proponemos realizar un breve análisis sobre cómo se ha entendido la relación entre el constitucionalismo gaditano, la independencia y los inicios de la vida republicana en Centroamérica. Para ello, hacemos un recorrido historiográfico de un poco más de 50 años, partiendo de los estudios de Jorge Mario García Laguardia y Mario Rodríguez, para luego discutir los cambios interpretativos suscitados desde la década de 1990 dentro de tres áreas temáticas: la representación, los poderes locales y la cultura política. Nos hemos centrado en la historia política, cultural e intelectual porque es allí en donde se han concentrado los trabajos al respecto.

Die Bilder aus der Hauptstadt Bischkek sowie aus den Provinzstädten Talas und Naryn, in denen blutige Proteste und Straßenschlachten zur Flucht des Präsidenten Kurmanbek Bakijew führten, sind mehr als erschütternd: 81 Tote, über 1600 Verletzte, verwüstete Gebäude und geplünderte Geschäfte. Die vorläufige Bilanz mag erschrecken genug sein, noch besorgniserregender könnten aber die langfristigen Folgen der politischen Unruhen für die gesamte Region werden. Die neue Übergangsregierung unter Rosa Otunbajewa steht vor gewaltigen Herausforderungen und muss einen drohenden Bürgerkrieg abwenden.
