In this paper the development of social structures and generations in the GDR is outlined, and it is compared with developments of the "people's republic" of North Korea in three aspects. Firstly, the emergence of a socialist establishment, that means larger social milieus which are apparently loyal to the state, is interpreted as a basis for stabilization in the GDR and in North Korea. Secondly, in the GDR Western oriented alternative milieus and subcultures became important actors during the political upheaval during the end of the 1980s. There is, however, no evidence of comparable intellectual or cultural counter-elites in opposition to the socialist establishment in North Korea. And third, the history of the GDR is distinguished by a sharply declining rate of integration of the younger generations into the socialist system. The last generations of the GDR are labelled with the adjectives "reserved and unadvised." In contrast to the GDR, in North Korea each new generation seems to experience major historic events which had possibly had a constituting generative effect on some age cohorts. Thus, even the famine of the 1990s became a national challenge whose overcoming were laid in the responsibility of everyone, including the young generation. Finally, the conclusions of these differences between the former socialist states (using the example of GDR) and North Korea are discussed in the paper.

Introduction: The pregnancies concerning minors requires a specific medical attention and psycho-social support. This cycle social support falls within the competence of the midwife, tle latter is highlighted in the obstetrical follow up of minor patients.Objectives : Identify the possible difficulties for midwives in Marseilles about the medical attention and psycho-social support for underage and pregnant people. Identify the areas for improvement that are proposed by the midwife in their medical attention. Search the impact of this new legal provisions concerning the support minors pregnant by the midwife.Methods: This qualitative study is based on the thirteen semi divided interview according to the Kaufmann method. Three to four midwives of different structure (P.M.I., IIb and III) in Marseilles have been interrogated.Results: Midwives have limited legislative knowledge but they have a good medical knowledge. The midwives representation of underage pregancies are diverse and make a cultural genuine impact. The midwife plays the main rôle in the psycho-social care of a minor patient. Huge difficulties of medical attention have been noticed by the midwives. Health professionnal proposed an improvement in the medical attention « medico-psycho-social » of this young women for an excellent follow-up during their pregnancy and in post-natal.Conclusion: The importance of cycle social support and no just medical to this young patients through monthly consultations. Les professionnels de santé interrogés ont proposé des améliorations dans la prise en charge « médico-psycho-sociale » de ces jeunes femmes, pour un suivi optimal durant la grossesse et en post-natal.Conclusion : Importance d'une prise psycho-sociale et pas uniquement médicale chez ces jeunes patientes via des consultations mensuelles multidisciplinaires, une formation des étudiantes sages-femmes durant leur cursus et surtout une extension de structures spécifiques aux personnes mineures.

Under the conditions of the country's economy restructurization, the differences between economic and social development of various regions are becoming more prominent. To smooth these differences, a number of scientific and practical problems associated with the concepts of a region, regional policy and its aims, determination of the boundaries of a region and evaluation of its development, etc., should be thoroughly investigated. To solve such complicated problems, multicriteria evaluation methods have been recently used, which could take into consideration the major aspects of economic and social development of the regions, including the environmental problems, as well as multidimensional character of the criteria, different directions of their changing and significances. Quantitative evaluation of social and economic region's development allows us to determine the changes, taking place in this development. This, in turn, shows the effectiveness of the EU structural funds, national programmes and other facilities used in conducting the regional policy. This paper aims at comparatively analyzing the IS process in three remarkable empirical cases. Ostrom's Institutional Analysis and Development framework and its categories for analysis are used to understand each process. A theoretical and analytical framework is proposed based on a survey of contextual elements that shaped the behavior of organizations towards Industrial Symbiosis practices. The results show that although there was no clear, linear order in which the actors developed symbiotic relationships, the decisions related to Industrial Symbiosis are shaped by a similar set of variables. These variables range from technical and economic aspects, such as the diversity of industries and the viability of exchanges, to social and institutional aspects, encompassing critical environmental issues; bilateral agreements; collective engagement; trust to build cooperative relationships; communication and information sharing strategies; integrated regulatory framework at three levels; congruence between government and company actions to create a cooperative environment; and governance structures involving local government, companies, research and development institutions, and a coordinating entity or the champion. This framework may serve as a reference for diagnostic analyses assessing aspects that can be improved wherein Industrial Symbiosis is already underway. It may also be useful in prescriptive analyses assessing the potential for implementing IS.

AbstractThe Middle East and North Africa region has been an important player in the swift demographic transition process that happened in many parts of the developing world starting in the mid-twentieth century. This demographic change was not independent from the developmental efforts and political transformations that the region was experiencing. Social and demographic change in the Middle East and North Africa brought with them power struggles, changes in social and political structures, and confusion in all areas of social life, all of which could be seen in the region. This paper focuses on the more general aspects of the demographic and social characteristics in the countries of the Middle East and North Africa in 1950, 1980, and 2015, bearing in mind the relationship between mentalities and events, and dealing with the issue through the lens of social change, demographic change, resistance, and the struggle for political change in an international context. This study has two main approaches. First, it investigates demographic changes and spatial clustering with a qualitative (cluster analysis) approach in Middle Eastern and North Africa countries based on selected demographic indicators for the years 1950, 1980, and 2015. Then it discusses the relationship between the outcomes of these demographic changes and recent socio-political developments in the region. One of the main findings of this study is MENA countries present three different structures in different time-periods in terms of demographics and these structures are responsible for the regional social, economic, and political transformations.

The special attention is spared research of public opinion as aggregate of cognitive normative-evaluation elements on the basis of which a production and reproduction is carried out social meaningful and approved judgments and estimations in relation to sociopolitical structures. ; Статья посвящена раскрытию роли общественного мнения в реализации процессов легитимации в контексте формирования и функционирования политического поля. Purpose– The purpose of this paper is to seek to develop a rigorous analysis of social capabilities (SC) and measuring them in a special industrial cluster, considering the key role of knowledge and SC in innovation.Design/methodology/approach– The paper sets off from the definition of SC and the elements that characterize them in an industrial cluster. The focus also examines how it is possible to measure SC within a specific area, using the scoreboard approach. The empirical aspect remains based upon the original results of surveys conducted on a sample of entrepreneurs specializing in a special industrial cluster utilizing a multi-method approach and the paper presents the empirical analysis estimating an innovation equation.Findings– The results of the case study show that the relationship between SC and innovation does not only involve large enterprises but small- and medium-sized businesses as well.Originality/value– Measuring SC is very complex since not all the highlighted determinants can be subject to empirical verification and given that they are intangible elements, residual and often incorporated into tacit knowledge and a literature that can help us in defining and measuring them accurately is not always available for all the indicators. In this research the author proposes a measure of SC using a composite indicator and investigates the effective role of these inputs in stimulating innovative activity in an industrial cluster performance.
