Abstract

Environment is not only the business of politicians, planners, civil servants, manufacturers but the business of all of us. The author emphasizes the prominent part of the conservation voluntary groups in the field of nature and environment. Some examples are given, amongst the innumerable activities and experiments of such groups. To prevent unsuitable or inefficient efforts the author draws up a li st of the desirable features for an E.E. for the people. The E.E. is an important part of the citizen's education: it should allow him to assume his future not as a fatality but in a responsible way.
