Abstract

This study answers the socio-demographic trends with the increasing urbanization in Nigeria. The first part focusses on trends of natural increase with emphasis on trends in fertility and its correlates and on mortality trends. The second part reviews studies on migration and on the basis of findings, the final section assesses the contribution of either of the variables to city growth in Nigeria
