Abstract
The author describes and analyses two types of communications in post-Mao mainland China's mass communications and transactional communications. He shows the liberating effect of communications. The author believes that the freer flow of communications since 1980 has exposed the true state of mainland China's national development and integration. (DÜI-Sen)
