Abstract

The "terrorism" phenomenon is abaut to change. Having originally been a problem of internal security when, for instance, looking at the assassination attempt by Palestinian terrorists an Israeli athletes during the 1974 Olympic Games in Munich, this matter has taken on a new dimension since the terror attacks of September 11, 2001 at the latest, as was repeatedly mentioned already. At the same time it has become apparent in a very drastic way that modern combating of terrorism can no longer be effected by use of the resources of internal security. In future, fighting terror will increasingly become part of the tasks of modern armed forces, a task which within the scope of globalization can be tackled only in combination with respective partners.
