This paper investigates the salience of social-psychological factors in explaining why drivers purchase (or fail to purchase) New Energy Vehicles (NEVs)—including hybrid electric vehicles, battery electric vehicles, and fuel cell electric vehicles—in China. A questionnaire measuring six dimensions (including attitudes, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, personal norms, low-carbon awareness and policy) was distributed in Tianjin, where aggressive policy incentives for NEVs exist yet adoption rates remain low. Correlation analysis and hierarchical multiple regression analyses are applied data collected through 811 valid questionnaires. We present three main findings. First, there is an "awareness-behavior gap" whereby low-carbon awareness has a slight moderating effect on purchasing behavior via psychological factors. Second, subjective norms has a stronger influence on intention to purchase New Energy Vehicles than other social-psychological factors. Third, acceptability of government policies has positive significant impact on adoption of New Energy Vehicles, which can provide reference potential template for other countries whose market for New Energy Vehicles is also in an early stage.

Das gegenwärtige Bewusstsein verfügt aber über Mechanismen, durch die es diese Zusammenhänge ausblenden kann. Doch finden die gesellschaftlichen Belastungen gleichwohl seelische Ausdrucksformen. Die Erschöpfungssymptome des flexiblen Selbst zeugen davon. Das Subjekt bedarf einer Anstrengung der "Affektbildung", um zu neuen Bewusstseinsformen zu gelangen, die eine Praxis der Lebenspolitik und des postnationalen Verfassungspatriotismus ermöglichen.

Eg, all moments experienced as critical & of special importance for res involved motivational changes, either positive or negative. Positive changes related to the identification & selection of a problem, informal COMM, emergence of new ideas & insights; negative ones involved a decrease in motivation & cognitive stagnation & were characterized by lack of competent supervision, failure of method, & diffculties which restricted the problem under study. A strong emotional reaction seemed to be one of the conditions for impending cognitive restructuring. 5 phases were found in the creative process: initial, intensive activity; pre-idea; idea-cognition; post-idea. Cognitive aspects of these phases are discussed. Future res should focus on the importance of intellectual stimulation & the need for novelty as motivational factors, & their structure & genesis. Purpose: This paper contains a meta-analysis of the psychological contract literature published in the last two decades. The aim of this paper was to investigate the moderating role of national culture in the individual-level relationships between psychological contract breach (PCB) and two important work outcomes, namely job performance (in-role and organizational citizenship behaviors) and turnover (actual and intended). Design/methodology/approach: After an extensive literature search, 134 studies were found which matched the authors' aim. The authors then incorporated national cultural scores based on the GLOBE study to include country-level scores to identify how the PCB relationships with these four outcomes vary across cultures. Findings: The findings indicate that national cultural practices moderated the associations between PCB and the four outcomes, yet, no significant moderations for uncertainty avoidance practices. Originality/value: While existing research has examined the impact of the breach on work outcomes such as job performance and turnover, there are few empirical studies that examine how national cultural practices influence the relationships between psychological contract breach and job performance and turnover. The authors address this need by investigating and creating a deeper insight into how cultural practices such as institutional collectivism, performance-orientation, power-distance, future orientation and gender egalitarianism moderate the relationships between PCB and job performance and turnover.

Trans men are people who, based on their genitals, were assigned the status of female at birth. However, their identity and their way of living gender do not correspond to the socially established norms. In this paper, we discuss the different perspectives in relation to transgender people and their desire for parenthood. This review, and the basis of this paper, is inspired by the case of a trans man who desired gestation with his own genetic material. He began the cycle of assisted reproduction when he was a legally recognized woman, but that attempt ended with a miscarriage. From that assisted reproduction cycle, four embryos remained frozen. After the failed experience of gestation, the person completed his transition. Now legally a man, he attempted to gestate using his reproductive organs. This literature review aimed to identify relevant studies describing the relationship between transgender person and biological parenthood. This study comprehensively addresses important aspects one should know when considering a transgender pregnancy. These factors include biological, psychological, social, and legal issues. After reviewing the state-of-the-art information on trans parenthood, the main conclusion is that &lsquo ; the desire to have a child is not a male or female desire but a human desire&rsquo ; .

A quality teacher–student relationship facilitates students' psychological wellbeing, but the mechanism underlying this relationship remains unclear. To address this issue, we investigated the role of a supportive school climate in the link between teacher–student relationships
and college students' psychological well-being. We used a paper-based questionnaire to collect data from 318 students enrolled in three universities in west China, and used Amos 22.0 software to establish a structural equation model. The results indicated there was a significant positive link
between teacher–student relationships and students' psychological well-being, and that supportive school climate partially mediated this link. This study extends the conclusions of prior research and provides new insights into how teacher–student relationships affect the psychological
well-being of college students.

Female sex offenders may be implicated in up to one fifth of all sex crimes committed in the United States. Despite previous research findings that suggest unique patterns of offending among female sex offenders, limited empirical research has investigated the motivations and processes involved. The present study qualitatively examined female sex offenders' offense-related experiences and characterized the internal and external factors that contributed to offending. Semi-structured interviews with 24 female sex offenders were analyzed by a team of coders with limited exposure to the existing literature using grounded theory analysis. A conceptual framework emerged representing distinctive processes for solo- and co-offending, contextualized within ecological layers of social and environmental influence. This model extends previous work by offering an example of nested vulnerabilities proximal to female sexual offending. Implications for future research, prevention, and treatment are discussed.

AbstractThis article provides an overview of research on infidelity in an effort to synthesize past studies and orient future studies. It begins with infidelity estimates, followed by a synopsis of evolutionary explanations prominent in both popular and academic writing. Despite the potential utility of evolutionary arguments, I argue that infidelity needs to be understood as a dynamic social process subject to influence by the context in which it is embedded. This conceptualization urges scholars to attend to the component, proximate, and psychological factors that affect one's decision to engage in infidelity. Accordingly, I categorize empirical infidelity research in this manner. I conclude by addressing new developments and avenues for future research.

The social psychological point of view to the family, its formation and development was used as the theoretical background of the paper. The task of the paper was to analyse the attitudes of all the respondence, the women and the men separately towards the family, the conditions of a couple becoming a family and the families functioning under the contemporary social economic circumstances. For the above mentioned purpose serve the data of special research of the couple's who decided to be married as well as the data of other investigators. The method of investigation: the special questionnaire for the couple's, who arrived to register the marriage was prepared. Results: the differences towards the attitudes to the joint house-hold between the persons who lived together before the marriage and did not lived together were revealed. It was not proved the opinion about the fact that life together before the marriage helps to prepare for the domestic affairs. The psychological atmosphere of the spouses show a tendency for a social interaction combining the family and the career problems also looking for a joint decisions in a case of the controversy. Conclusions: the different view of the women and the men in assessing the family problems guid to the necessity to change the family police from the patriarchal to the egalitarian.

Under what circumstances will the public support military intervention in other countries? Recent answers have focused on the importance of identity and attachment to one's nation to explain variation in public support. We posit that some segments of the public are more willing than others to support military action even when there is perceived risk due to a psychological attachment to veterans. We distinguish kinship, geographic, and psychological forms of propinquity and argue that the psychological attachment of an individual to a group drives disparate attitudes about military force when their group is threatened. Using a unique national data set, we examine public attitudes across a range of hypothetical and actual military interventions and find that psychological attachment, measured using identity fusion, helps to explain the pattern of support across interventions. We conclude with a discussion of the implications of our findings on the use of force literature.

A conceptual model including conscious awareness, positive psychological capital, personality traits and entrepreneurial intention is suggested with the purpose of providing a deeper understanding on the premises of entrepreneurial intention. Data is gathered from students studying in North Cyprus universities for the purpose of testing the suggested model (n= 400). The gathered data is analysed with SPSS 23 and AMOS programmes. The findings of the analysis show that entrepreneurial intention is positively influenced by conscious awareness, positive psychological capital and personality traits. Moreover, it has been observed that positive psychological capital and personality traits play an intermediary role the effect of conscious awareness on entrepreneurial intention. The findings of the research can be of benefit for both researchers and practitioners. The present study not only provides information on entrepreneurial intention but also helps administrators to increase their awareness by presenting administrative recommendations.
