The aim of the paper is to assess the organizational performance of national Lithuanian Dance Sport Federation The main tasks of this paper are: 1. to traverse the singularities of the model of assessment of NGO's; 2. to identify the place of Lithuanian Dance Sport Federation in the system of sports in Lithuania; 3. to assess the organizational performance of Lithuanian Dance Sport Federation. The points being laboured in this paper: 1. The methodology of the analysis: The paper is based on the model of sports organiztion's organizational performance and its analysis' methodology first represented by Winand et al. (2009). Both qualitive and quantitive analysis of organizational performance is being used in purpose to assess the performance effectiveness of Lithuanian Dance Sport Federation. The conclusion: 1. Lithuanian Dance Sport Federation is the main and only NGO of Dance Sport in Lithuania. It is accepted by the Lithuanian governing bodies and it is the only NGO of Dance Sport which can pretend to get financial income from the government. Lithuanian Dance Sport Federation is liable for the coordination and development of Dance Sport in Lithuania, the formation of the national teams and their praparation for the most important competitions. 2. It is very difficult to define the NGO's and it is difficult to assess their performance effectiveness because of their non profit characteristics. The most representative model of the assessment of the NGO's performance effectiveness combines the most important aspects of the performance, such as sports, organizational, financial, communication and image and client aspects. Still there is no unity talking about NGO's performance effectiveness, but it looks like more and more theoretics' are coming to the conclusion that performance effectiveness can be defined as the achievements of the organizations in reaching its strategic goals. The main conclusion talking about the performance effectiveness of Lithuanian Dance Sport Federation is that its performance is quite effective in the aspects of sports and clients but there is lack of effectiveness of the performance in the financial, communicational and organizational aspects. Lithuanian Dance Sport Federation should more focus on reaching financial sources, creating a good image and enlarging the amount of the members.
