; Throughout the world, more and more media outlets are making use of sections or columns that provide fact checking. Their purpose is to verify the truth of statements, especially those made by politicians in the public sphere. In France, where it has long been unusual to question the speech of politicians so directly, these fact-checking efforts are creating new and potentially contentious modes of relating; they are doing so not only among journalists who work in the same newsrooms, but also between journalists and politicians. Such politicians seek to limit the risks introduced when their statements are checked, so that they can continue to convey their messages to the public.

; Fact-checking journalistic units, dedicated to verify claims by politicians or by personalities, have transformed their model into debunking in 2017 ; in so doing, they enhanced the participation of their users. This articles examines the case of the French daily Libération's fact-checking unit, "CheckNews", which collects the questions of its users on information they wish to see verified. How was the synthesis between participatory journalism and fact-checking made, and following which principles ? This article is based on the analysis of the site CheckNews.fr and of the regulatory criteria to certify fact-checking units ; it aims to put the practices, the limits and fears of such an opening to the public in perspective.

Hakan Kirimu, The Crimean Tatar nationalist organization "Conscience " : Fact or police invention?
It is known that during the early 1910's there was a remarkable degree of underground nationalistic activities among the Crimean Tatars, some of which were connected with the "Fatherland Society" which had been founded by the Crimean Tatar students in Turkey. The recently disclosed documents in the archives of the tsarist police attribute most of such activities in 1910 to a certain Crimean Tatar nationalist organization called "Conscience Society." Though as yet no other authentic source corroborates this information, these documents present the characteristic outlook and behavior of the tsarist police toward any nationalistically-colored stir among the Crimean Tatars.
Pornography as total social fact ; La pornographie comme fait social total
International audience ; Pornographic contents are images to which humans maintain a peculiar relationship, inducing, even among researchers, effects of fascination, avoidance, projection and judgement. A field of research is emerging, having difficulties to take its distances from controversies, due to the fragmentation of approaches according to moral, political, social or health considerations. Yet, the diversity of scopes under which this social fact can be approached underlines its interest as an analyzer of the societies in which it occurs. This article explores the relevance of applying to pornography Marcel Mauss' notion of "total social fact". It suggests that the relationship to images that humans develop today, tells us something about the way our society as a whole is changing.
