Abstract

In dem Beitrag wird untersucht, warum die Produktivität in der DDR hinter der der Bundesrepublik zurückblieb. Es wird festgestellt, dass die institutionellen Gegebenheiten in der DDR die Einführung neuer Informationstechnologien verhinderten und die ostdeutsche Wirtschaft deshalb ineffizient wurde. (IAB)
