This study aimed to identify the advantages and disadvantages of using artificial intelligence in education from the perspective of the students of Al Ain University. The researcher used the descriptive approach due to its compatibility to the study objectives. The study sample consisted of (184) students from Al Ain University in Al Ain City, who were selected using the random stratified sampling method. The questionnaire was developed and distributed by using Google Drive software. The results showed that most students think that artificial intelligence can improve learning personal experiences, process a considerable amount of data and improve task management. However, there have been different opinions about the ability of artificial intelligence to control students' behavior and direct learning, improve the efficiency of educational system, provide notes and reviews, reduce dependency on teachers, and enhance social interaction. Furthermore, several students expressed their concerns about the possible missing of traditional educational jobs, the costs of implementing artificial intelligence systems, the errors of programming and error-processing, and missing the human relationships in the classroom.

The present essay is about the evolution of the Korean education system and the effects it has on the Korean society. South Korea can look back on a history of rapid growth and industrialisation since the sixties of the last century. Among various factors that contributed to South Korea's unprecedented development, we can make out South Korea's school system that has gained worldwide reputation. What are the roots of its effectiveness? To what extent education in South Korea leads to the equal distribution of life chances? In how far it is more than just preparing people for the labour market? In order to answer these questions the authors look back further in the history of Korea and explain the relevance of certain cultural and religious ideas to Korea's social structure.
Korean scholarship is deeply rooted in a centuries-old tradition of Korean Confucianism, but the modern educational system started to take shape due to cultural influences of Western powers and under colonial rule. In the decades after the Korean War, South Korean governments put much stress on an egalitarian development of human resources. With the introduction of market-oriented reforms at the end of the last century, however, education is becoming more and more a privilege of the wealthy and powerful classes of the Korean society.

This article presents and extracts lessons from experiences implementing the Norwegian national strategy for education for sustainable development (ESD) over a period of more than 15 years. After an introduction to central ideas of sustainable development and ESD, the authors discuss appropriate strategies and instruments. Key factors are collaboration to allow pupils and schools to actively contribute to positive development locally and globally, interdisciplinary approaches to complex sustainability issues, and appropriate use of the ICT and other media. ESD programmes and activities should support school development and build the capacity of schools and teachers for integration of ESD.
