Aid, donors and development management
In: NEPRU Publications, No. 2
Abstract
This book presents the edited papers and proceedings of a workshop organised by NEPRU on 12 and 13 July 1990 in association with the National Planning Commission. The workshop provided a forum for political leaders and senior officials to discuss the problems and opportunities of development aid as seen from the development country government perspective of Namibia. Included amongst the principal themes addressed were the real development impact of aid; donor influence on national policy-making; tied aid and conditionality; the characteristics of the principal donor institutions, multilateral, bilateral and NGOs; aid administration in the recipient country; and the 'nuts and bolts' of aid coordination.
